"This place is pretty special. It is a small, low key resort. My son wanted to stay close to the pool, so we stayed in a standard room. The room wasn't great. The beds were hard, it could use a refresh, the air conditioner was loud, and there was no soundproofing. If we had picked one of the bungalows or treehouses, I likely would have given the place 5 stars. It is a nice alternative away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna but still close to lots of attractions. "

"This hotel was everything I was looking for and everything my family didn’t know they wanted until we got there! Amazing grounds. There was a trail through a beautiful forest full of everything tropical including tons of flowers, trees, plants and animals. We saw many sloths, toucans, crested Juan, cows and more. Woke up to a variety of birds chirping. Breakfast was included and good. Very friendly staff. One guy took me on a walk through the trail and taught me many things, I can’t remember his name (Avar maybe?) Good clean pool. Vegetable garden was fun, they are working on being fully farm to table one day. Probably 1.5 miles from lots of restaurants and 5-10 minutes from amazing La Fortuna Waterfall. The only downside was our toilet had some problems but I’m sure staff can get that fixed. They were readily available to help if needed. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Costa Rica! "
