"A genuine old Dutch rowhouse with a few rooms (with baths) up a flight of very steep stairs. Very quaint and comfortable. Convenient to the Anne Frank House, great restaurants and shopping, and a block from the tram that goes to the museum plaza and the central train station, if you don’t feel like walking. Some outside noise if you’re in the front room. Someone will carry your luggage up and down the steep staircase for you, but don’t reserve if you have difficulty walking or climbing. "

"We had a most enjoyable stay at Breitner House! It was the highlight of this trip to Amsterdam (which is saying quite a lot). Camilla is a charming hostess! She proudly told us the history of the house, and served a sumptuous, delicious, and beautifully appointed full breakfast. (She thoughtfully accommodated our dietary restrictions.)
