"This is a clean and well done apartment in a charming rural setting. Elisabeth is a great host. We only stayed one overnight after seeing Monet’s house and garden in close by Giverny, then headed to CDG airport airport very early the next morning. Wish we could have stayed longer.Sigh."

"It was an adventure finding Belmesnil at night without GPS signal. We checked in late after resolving a minor confusion with our reservation. "We had booked a twin room but on arrival had been advised we had been upgraded free of charge. We were put in a room on the top floor that had no heating. We were supplied with one potable radiator but as it was minus degrees outside we had to ask for another radiator. The corridor was not heated and neither was the bathroom. The floor below was lovely and warm and I am unable to understand why we were put in such a cold room. The beds were however comfy and the staff wonderful. "

The hotel has a small, immaculate bar area and an attractive restaurant serving good, reasonably priced meals.
