"Beautiful location, nice rooms with a view and great swimming pool, sauna etc. Let down slightly by lack of treatments in the spa, food options and hotel run activities. For the activities, they had a desk but it wasn’t manned by the company who ran them and the Ullensvang staff were unhelpful and dismissive about organising. Also oddly the kayaks themselves were stored at the hotel but couldn’t be rented. Dining options were very limited - the restauraunt switches to a buffet in high season...

"had rental car came back late on evening and there was no parking slots available in the Parking garage . I parked at a charge station for E-vehicle and received a parking ticket for $60.00 I contacted Hotel reception there was nothing they could do :-( why offer hotel parking ?? I also had to pay an overnight fee since it is a private company that owns the garage( Europark). I"

"The location of this hotel is great! Few food options open, but it was during the off season so it was expected. The hotel's food was still great though! I can imagine this hotel during the peak season is very busy - if we ever go back to visit we will make sure to stay here!"

"We’ve just enjoyed a few days at this beautiful hotel, what a find!! Moss is being heavily invested in as an area and as a result we enjoyed a stunning hotel, the spa was incredible, the food was delicious and the staff were really helpful, polite and accommodating to us and our young family. I cannot recommend enough for a few days on a Fijord near Oslo. We’ve stayed in lots of luxury hotels around the world and this one is up there with one of the best. Thank you for such a great time. "

"It would be nice to have AC option even though it’s Norway. The window was hard to keep open when needing air. The room became stuffy. The bathroom could use a fan for venting while showering and an outlet for plugging in necessary flat iron, or whatever. The beds were odd. Only a thin topper, although comfortable, but wasn’t secured to bed and moved a lot. Sheets were not fitted causing them to shift a lot when sleeping and becoming bunched up. Breakfast options amazing!!! Great stay! "

"This was a short personal trip to Asker, I just need a place to spent the night, and that was the cheapest place that I found, so it a good place to stay for short terms, is a 15min walking distance to the city center and main train station, the room is comfortable and clean, general speaking is a price- value option, breakfast is not included but you have the kitchen available to cook, warm your food and a kettle to heat up water to prepare your cafe or infusions"

"My family spent 4 nights at Hovdestøylen over the Easter long weekend. We had a 3-bedroom unit in a wing next to the main hotel that was modern and well equipped. A cross-country ski trail runs right past the hotel, and the downhill ski centre is about a 5 min drive away. Parking can be a little crowded during the après-ski hours but we always managed to find a place. Nice bar area with large screen TV, fireplace and shuffleboard. Very friendly service in the bar/restaurant and at reception."

"Stayed two nights at the place. The room was decent size for one person, with double bed. The room was clean, it was neat and well organized with everything you need. The bathroom had heated floor and clean towels were included. The breakfast was quite nice with a good selection of food to choose from. The staff is very friendly. Overall a very pleasent experience. Would recommend it for anyone."
