"Great hostel, owner is super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Place is just a 10 minute walk to the main area of Gaia and Porto, so its quiet, but also convenient. I got a private room in this hostel, but I'm sure a dorm room would've been fine. Free breakfast every morning and owner offers recommendations or engaging conversations about Portugal and Porto. They did my laundry for 10 euros too, which was great. "

"It is a great place for a family. Best view and best location if you don’t care about the noise that coming from the trains on the bridge, exactly above the room. We came as a couple so for the same price you can get a smaller room in a nice hotel, but if you are more than couple it is a great choice! The kitchen has all you need to cook a nice meal."

"There's much to like about The Yellow House, with one major exception. The bed is quite comfortable, and while smallish, the quarters are comfortable as well. Wifi worked very well, and the patio is a huge plus, for relaxing in the sun (I smoke the occasional cigar, so it was very welcome. It's also very quiet except for the occasional- as in not very often- barking of the two dogs next door. They're pretty cool pooches, so it was not a problem. "I loved this hotel although on first impression you may think its too far away from Porto and doesnt look very attractive from the outside its really whats inside that counts. The breakfast was amazing inc GLUTEN FREE corner with cornflakes & croissants 🙌🙌 The shower in the room had great pressure, an Iron that actually was better than the one at home, a fridge, Great Wifi. "The location was great. It was easy to get to all the sights we wanted to see. The apartment was a little musty and water was coming down onto the stove when it rained. There was also some mold in places. The noise from the restaurant below was a little bothersome until about 1am."
