"We stayed in one of the older rooms due to hotel availability and prices during the busy carnival season. The room was very dated, oppressive and lacked certain facilities to cook and there was only one socket in the kitchenette. Some might say the room was very retro but it wasn't our thing. However(!), Ray Carlos did exceed our expectations in many ways. "Great location , no reception staff two days a week and none after 6pm . You’re given a key for the main gate ( which is kept locked after 10pm ) unfortunately it’s a faulty lock and took ages to try and get in at times , noticed staff and they already knew about it , said nothing could be done . The hotel is very quiet and I barely saw people around, not even at the pool area, which by the way close promptly at 7pm. "This place was a 3 minute walk to the beach and there were lots of places near by to eat and pubs. A 10 minute walk to the Yumbo Centre, and there is a five minute walk to the bus stop. We took a cab ride there from the airport and took the bus back, #66, each taking the same amount of time. The reason we did not take it from the airport was because we would not know where to get off. We had a nice little apartment with a huge balcony. They cleaned every second day. "We loved this hotel for its great location to the sea with beautiful walks to Maspalomas and Dunas de Maspalomas. The cuisine, very helpful staff and cleanliness throughout the hotel are of a very high standard. On top of that we had nice weather, swimming in the sea was no problem. The hotel pools complemented the swimming opportunities. A great holiday that I recommend. "

"When I read the reviews on this hotel , I was abit worried. As I turned up , the hotel looked amazing outside with a string of Irish pubs , a supermarket and restaurants. It was a nice , easy check in with amazing staff who were wonderful. Yes you have to leave a €50 deposit but that’s understandable as working in the travel industry in the past myself, I knew what some guests would leave it like after the holiday. Hotel is spot less, all staff work so hard, all inclusive option is excellent, a self serve coffee machine and more staff serving in the bars would have improved our stay together with more English TV channels. "This is a well positioned set of apartments, ideal for going to the yumbo centre or to the beach. Three of us stayed very comfortably for 7 days in the apartments. If we had feedback it would be the lack of mirrors (two in the apartment and not in ideal locations), iron broke in the room and the fan system is a little difficult to work out. Overall good value for money and would happily stay there again. "
