I stayed in this place last year and, despite some problems, I liked it enough to book again in 2024. Unfortunately, it has changed a lot.
Before making the booking I called the reception and asked in Spanish to be given a room in a less noisy area than last time. When I arrived, I was given a room in the noisiest part right next to the busy road with passing buses roaring until very late at night. You can only sleep comfortably for a few hours before the roar of the traffic starts again in the early morning.
Also the bathroom looks really old with bathtub being painted over INSIDE with white paint, tiles and paint almost falling from the ceiling and walls and some very nasty mould and fungus painted over.
What is worst, is the attitude of the receptionists. I asked to be given a different room and I was told buses passing by don't bother the receptionist. I asked him if he ever slept in this place and there was obviously no reply...
I was then told to come back the next day, and the other receptionist did not even bother to check if there were any other rooms. All booked up!
I also pointed out there were some items missing in the kitchen, to which the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders and said: so what? do you want me to go and buy them for you?
This place has changed beyond recognition and I very much regret booking another long stay here. Never again! The conditions are not acceptable for the price you pay and you expect for the staff to be more polite!
