"This hotel is minimalist yet upscale. Because the rooms are only large enough to contain the essentials, there is less opportunity for misuse of the rooms. Our room was smaller than the stateroom cabin on the cruise ship that we were about to take. But it was perfect for a sound night's sleep precruise. Also, there is a nice bar and restaurant onsite. And, the property is conveniently located within walking distance of the cruiseport trolley if weather permits."

"The elser is beautiful, but also very expensive, and they nickel and dime you for any and everything. Bottled water is $8 each and none is provided complimentary in-room. We requested 2 bottles of water that never came, then we’re charged for them at checkout. For a luxurious experience, maybe try providing the essentials at this price point, or at least luxurious service to match the price tag. "

"Lovely property. I thought valet parking charge was expensive especially as we didn’t know. Resort fee was charged which seemed unfair as we use any of the facilities. "

"Train noise across the street was a bit disconcerting. No free water bottles in room; no microwave. Otherwise, nice room and comfortable bed. The pool was nice and cool but only 4 feet deep. Nice decor."
