"Arriving at the property via the small lanes not helped by GPS navigation led to very low expectations. Once inside the gate there was a surprise. The property is an ancient convent with a lovely Chaple. The grounds a wildly planted with many different and interesting ponds, large fountains, and plantings. Worth a stay and visit to ARLES and ST REMY. Just be sure to have good directions to find the Havre de Paix, Excellent breakfast served with fruit, cheese, cut meats, cereal, coffee, juices,...

"Simple, well-appointed, immaculate, and very friendly. The room I stayed in was totally upgraded with fresh tile, a very comfortable bed, and the little things (hair dryer, reading lamp, towel and coat hooks, etc.) I was traveling solo and spontaneously. It was a perfect place to have as a home-base from which to explore Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer proper, the bird sanctuary nearby, and other little inlets here and there. "Very nice hotel with a modern relaxed feel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is situated just outside the town, and it takes 10 min to walk to town. Camargue is a great place for biking and running. Our room was clean and nice. The staff gave us good advice on restaurants in town. The town is quite touristy, but the beaches stretches out endlessly and if you bike (or walk) a little you will find a nice and quiet spot. Arles is only 30 min away by car, we went there to check...

"This is a beautiful country inn. The setting of the "mas" was perfect, including a view of a herd of about 80 horses to greet us each morning on our walk. We ate two dinners there, and the food was superb. Handy location for other spots in Provence, but it was still tempting to just sit idly by the pool and enjoy the beauty of the day and the inn. A wonderful place to stay"

"It is quiet and the apartments are quite private. But it's not clear on Expedia that nearly everything, including Wifi, costs money. One pool was closed. Finding it was a bit of a challenge b/c signage was poor. And the gate system, while surely adding to safety, was awkward."
