"Good location close to the Minster. Room was on the main road side of the building, but we'll sound proofed. Some noise from the bar, but this is expected in a pub. Problem with loss of hot water pressure on the final morning was irritating, but these things happen. Clean and comfortable. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on the food. "

"Great location and only a short walk to the centre. The added homemade shortbread biscuits in the room was a lovely treat. You can really see how much love has gone into this property and how much they care for their guests with how helpful and attentive they are. The cooked breakfast was delicious as well as the homemade butter and croissants! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit York. "

"I enjoyed the Brewers Arms but I think it is over priced. Also, they stopped serving food at 7pm which should be highlighted. I left early so couldn’t have breakfast but Jen prepared food for me to take on my early start. "

"Catherine, the owner, was the perfect hostess with nothing being too much trouble. She even texted to make sure everything was OK and to ensure she was about when I arrived. The room was clean and well provisioned. Breakfast was a full English and cooked fresh. There was also a selection of cereals and fruits. The village is about a mile away and has a convenience store, pub and Indian restaurant."

"This is the second time staying at the Camberley, last time 13 months ago. Nothing to complain about only a few little things if i was being picky. Its great to see that the rooms have been updated stayed in room 2 this time which was really nicely decorated, bright and modern, lovely comfy bed and pillows, comfortably heated not drab as room 10 was 13 months ago! Tea and coffee in room but no little biscuit this time and no artificial sweeteners either in the room or downstairs where the spares...

"Warm welcome received by host. Very friendly. Parking to rear of hotel bit of a squeeze as was busy but not a big issue. Room on top floor was quirky with comfortable bed and leather sofa. Quiet and spotlessly clean with a fridge whi h came in handy and even a microwave hidden away. Full breakfast was piping hot and plenty enough. The fruit plate was a little sparse to be fair but it was exactly what it says on the tin...a plate with fruit so no complaints. Great location in a quiet area but...

"Great place for a short stay. Clean & good facilities bit of confusion over payment…. Thought paid up front but hotel said not… so this is main reason for 4 not 5. Also close to late night pubs/ clubs…. So if you’re wanting to go to see early… probably not the place for you as the music can be quite loud. However, not an issue for us & slept really well. Ultimately good value for money & would stay again."

"The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful."
