A grocery store and pharmacy were within walking distance in case you want to purchase some water/snacks or if you forgot a needed toiletry. "The room was excellent for European hotel room. Very clean, comfortable bed, linens & bath products provided. Separate water closet & shower areas. We were upgraded to a junior suite & it was great! Kettle in room, bar in room (xtra of course) 2 waters provided per day. Elevator available. Rooftop bar was awesome. Close to Campo di Fiori market, Tiber River & all that that area provides. "The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located for walking to all the tourist attractions. Our room on the ground floor was a bit dated and needed some tlc. The bathroom in particular. The shower door came off in hubby’s hand and there was a bad damp patch on the ceiling above the shower. Cannot compare to the other rooms but not the best we have stayed in. Continental breakfast good, but no where to have a drink in the evening or relax. "

The one weird thing was that I left the "do not disturb" sign out for my whole one-week stay and someone came in and cleaned the bathroom and replaced towels that were not on the floor while I was out one day. "We had a one day extended stay after A 10 day Greek Isle cruise before flying home in order to finish touring Tome, Vatican and Sistine Chapel. We arrived before checkin time. They allow you to store luggage, told us some good spots to eat. We returned less than an hour and our room was ready early. Able to put bags in room and literally walk across the street and up the steps to the Vatican! Fantastic location. It is NOT a real touristy area but nothing there is except the Vatican. "
