"We stayed as a treat at the end of the camino de santiago - we were welcomed, shown to our room and able to book at the restaurant for dinner. The half board option allows you to book at either restaurant (reis being the traditional one) and order a starter, main and desert (drinks not included). Breakfast too was a feast with slots for when to go so it wasnt crowded. Brilliant location, understated and such an experience to stay in Spains oldest hotel! "

I also tried the spa had a massage and a facial, Marián and Sandra were incredible- great Spa ! Service was very good - I didn’t want to leave ! Bfst also very good. "Nice hotel, beds comfy and room and bathroom a good size. Great quality toiletries and towels. Reception areas good. Didn't eat there, so can't comment on food. Good location 10 min walk from cathedral. Very pricey €300+ for what you get. There were better value places in the centre, but due to the festival, this was our only option. No outside areas, which was sad as the weather was fab. The small pool, with outside chairs, sun loungers and bar doesn't open until 1st June, which was...

"The property is rather dated. One of my bedroom windows was missing the lock to have it opened and closed. The A/C was rather old. The room, however was quite spacious as well as the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I was surprised that there was no safety box in the room. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the old town of Santiago de Compostela."
