"The hotel is a wonderful old building that has been lovingly maintained. Our room was fine, everything was clean, tidy and worked and we got what we paid for. The restaurant was excellent. It had grandeur, it was flooded with light, offered views over the Tay, drink and food options were very good and reasonably priced. While there was no car park, one across the road offered reasonable rates and was convenient. The Discovery and V&A are a 5 min walk and are excellent. Why not a 5* rating? Like...

"Last minute booking, but looked forward to pool and spa, but not too be. An extra $20 more! Restaurant closed early. The room was comfortable and quiet. The carpet was well worn."

"Excellent value accommodation just outside Dundee. Checked in at the bar, the staff were friendly and helpful and showed us to the room. The room was in an external motel style block. The room was quite basic but was clean and everything worked. OK. For the money it does the job perfectly and we would definitely return."

"It has been a very pleasing stay at Tay view hotel. The place is is 30 mins walk from city center but nice and quiet. Rooms are clean. Staff have been very helpful. Restaurant below is good with some wide variety of authentic Indian food. Owner is a nice man and has been very helpful. Recommended to others looking for place to stay in Dundee."
