Always enjoy staying at the Woodlands. The staff are always the best, the food in the restaurant is always excellent (particularly the steak casserole) and the bar is a cosy wee spot to just sit in and relax.

Kingsize bed made up of two different types of single mattresses, made for one us to have a not so nice sleep (you could hear the springs when rolling for one side to over) Staff were all very pleasant, a nice relaxing ambience.

The Woodlands is lovely. It's not a perfect hotel, some of the rooms need a spruce up and ours was directly above the kitchen so our bathroom smelled of cooking for much of the time, but it's a charming place with lots of character and lovely staff.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. Disappointed they charge each guest $7 pounds ti use pool. About $16 Canadian! Also the sell memberships to local residents to use facilities. Guest compete with locals to enjoy the swimming pool hot tub and saunas. Not pleased

Property was clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful. Check in was swift and well organised. Only issue was the temperature. With the warm weather the room was sweltering and there was no way to cool it down. Even with the windows open as far as possible and the portable fan fully on the room was unbearably hot. With a young child this was not ideal.
