"It was really unfortunate to arrive at a time when the key system was down. Every time needed to leave my room (2nd floor) to the restaurant (1st floor) or gym (5th floor) and back to the restaurant, I needed to first go to reception (ground floor), to ask someone to come up stairs to let me back into my room. Staff were wonderful and clearly trying to make my stay more comfortable but it made it a less pleasant experience."

"property located in a quiet residential area located at 20 minutes walk from town centre .property is a bid dated and could do with a bit more cleaning .no much water coming for the shower ,bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable and we had a cockroach visiting while we were there .we found a trap under the sink in toilet therefore business must be aware of issue. not many choices for a family room in the area especially at last minute but we won’t return in this hotel "

"The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area."
