"Without hyperbole, our stay here was like walking into a dream. The property is elegant in every detail and yet completely integrated with the setting. "This is a beautiful property, with lovely comfortable rooms. Elmira is a gracious and thoughtful host. We had to leave early for a tour, before the breakfast hours, and she made sure we had plenty to eat before we left. I couldn't give 5 stars for area around the property, as there was construction happening in the backyard, but it's not a criticism. We enjoyed our stay very much!"

"An opportunity to spend a night in a revamped farmhouse turned guesthouse. The Farmhouse lodge is situated about 15-20 minutes west of the town of Vik right off of the Ring Road and has two levels (the main and a walk out basement which is quite bright). "Don't get me wrong this place was nice and it was a very unique experience, but I wouldn't say it is a "luxury hotel". The views were nice, the staff were really friendly, the pods are cool, and the food was great, but I can name a number of things that could do with improvement and that don't make this place what I would call luxurious: - The pods are a 15min walk from reception all uphill and they don't offer any other means to get you there. - There aren't any formal pathways, just mud...

"Nice peaceful place, helpful staff. The apartment could do with a bit more equipment in the kitchen, for example more cutlery & there were only 3 bowls in a 4 person apartment. Useful to have washing machine in the apartment. There are a few bikes you can borrow but they could do with a bit of TLC, suitable for a short ride to town."

"The marketing photo (above) is a misleading advertisement. There are studios built on stilts overlooking our accommodation and blocking the advertised sea view. The properties website does not currently show them either. Total misrepresentation and underhandedness"

"We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. We loved the Kelo cabin. Everything about this place made for a very relaxing vacation. We were very satisfied the dining each night. They had four main menus that rotated each day. Our favorite excursion was the dog sledding. We have enthusiastically recommended Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort to all of our friends and family."
