"Immaculately kept residence in a very good area with excellent transport links into Funchal centre. Very friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are very comfortable, spacious and have great views. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the waiting staff were helpful and pleasant and the main pool and pool areas were spacious with plenty of sun beds available. No decaff tea - go next door to the cliff after dinner for that. VidaMar suited us as a great base (we didn’t rent a car), we used bus or booked trips. The ‘west’ jeep discovery tour is a must. "The room was clean, well appointed and very quiet. We were across from the elevator bank and didn’t hear them at all. The location is very good and so was the breakfast. I don’t think I’ve ever had better water pressure in the shower. Our only problem was our room seemed to be in a wifi dead zone. We had good service in the middle of the room but not at either end, including the balcony. The staff did try to rectify it but not much improvement. Would definitely stay again. "
