"Situation really could not be better for us, as the hotel is next to the station and we arrived by train. It is a short walk to Princes Street where most buses are available and where the trams stop Despite also being on a busy road, there was no car or train noise at all The room was spotlessly clean Reception is on the 7th floor and is next to the bar area which has a good view over the city, especially if the weather allows sitting on the balcony outside There is not a formal restaurant and guests use the bar fro breakfast and snacks, but this is not a problem as there are so many other dining options around, should one want something more elaborate The hotel is next door to the excellent City Art Gallery - which was delightful for us The staff were excellent and very pleasant to deal with I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to another stay there"

"The hotel team was helpful and friendly. The location was perfect- right in the middle of everything. The decor was modern but comfortable and still maintained much of the original building’s old world charm. The food at Eve was delicious! Treat yourself to pots of hot tea and dessert in your room- just lovely!"

"We had a lovely one-night stay, wishing we could have stayed longer. Everyone was kind and competent. Good food in the morning. It’s right on the Grassmarket square, where there are a lot of restaurants and activities, and a short hike to the Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Our balcony view of the Castle was breathtaking. All in all, a great place to stay."

"I booked this Hotel for easy access to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh marathon on Sunday 26th. The hotel was a good location, check in was easy and efficient, meal options are limited although I had a nice big Pizza the day before the race and there is a Morrisons which is a 10 minute walk and easy access to the Tram. The hotel staff were friendly and in particular a guy called Maris who offered me some complimentary snacks for the marathon which was a nice touch. He was also very friendly and efficient. "
