"This was a night away for my wife and I. We thought the facilities and room were perfect for us. The hotel was in good repair but retained its period charm. The staff could not have been more helpful. Service in the restaurant was very attentive, and the breakfast was excellent. The quality of the food served up in the evening didn't quite live up to the high quality of the rest of our stay, but it was perfectly pleasant."

"Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening.
