The Hotel was lovely, and very olde wordly. The Staff were very good in the main, but last nights pie crust was burnt, and there were no published prices for Breakfast, so to get our bill on checkout, and find that I was charged £16 for a sausage sandwich was a bit much, and there was no mention of a 10% service charge for Dinner at all.

Great location. Lovely rooms as I’ve stayed in the hotel many times. Comfortable and clean. Gorgeous toiletries to use. Small car park but parking near by if you can’t park at the hotel but I’ve only had this issue once or twice. Highly recommended hotel

Fantastic old building with lots of character by the river and in the middle of Tewkesbury. We arrived late and the staff really helpful getting us settled in. We had a good meal in the bar outside by the river. We were there in a heat wave and the staff had gone out of their way to make our room as cool as possible. Really relaxed stay.

We were only staying overnight, so didn't get very long to explore, but I really liked this hotel - a lot of character and the staff were very helpful. Only slightly marred by a faulty fire alarm that went off twice in the night, but not the staff's fault and we were reassured that a fix was underway. I would definitely come back again.

It is looking a little tired but it's an old "period" building. The bed etc was lovely and clean, the bathroom likewise. The carpet looked scruffy but was probably cleaned, just it's age makes it look a little dirty.

Friendly staff, lovely huge size room with a big bed and bathroom with a large bath and shower. The room was well decorated and the bathroom fresh and new. The stay would have been perfect if the weather had been cooler as even with 3 fans going (2 from the hotel and one of our own), the heat in the room was unbearable and when it got cooler in the evening, we were unable to open the windows as they were broken. I believe the building is listed so unable to get air conditioning. We would like to stay again in a cooler time of years.

The staff are lovely. Breakfast is fabulous, serving good quality products in a timely manner. The hotel is decorated to a very high standard. Located on a good position on the high street with good links to local shopping facikities and close to Gloucester and cheltenham.
