The property is on a hill and the street is just barely two cars wide. Cars parked on either side of the road (although not opposite each other) and the very small "turning" spaces half way down and at the end were often parked in. "It is a fantastic old cottage, well done up, in a pretty small village. You have a small co-op shop and a fantastic pub, as well as a 12th century church with one of the oldest living tree in the world. 25 minutes by car from Conway, it is close enough, but away from busy touristic town, with plenty of walks to do around and places to go. Things to consider: if you have an electric car, you need to plan what you do, as there is no charging point in the village. The house has an induction hob...

"We enjoyed our time in Conwy and at the Castle Apartment very much. The facility was clean and stocked with everything we required for our stay of three days. However, the thing we appreciated most about the listing in the end was its location. We were within a short walk of the Castle, the city walls, the waterfront quay, Plas Mawr, the Royal Cambrian Academy and a myriad of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. "Oh my, what a fabulous cottage this is! We feel humbled to have stayed in Pen-y-Bont for a glorious week in December. This classic Welsh cottage is lovingly restored, large, clean, and well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed. The shower was warm and wonderful. "Easy check-in. We arrived an hour early as I thought check-in was 2pm not 3pm but our room wasn’t ready but we were able to store our luggage with reception whilst we went to eat lunch. I thought we would have a two bedroom apartment but it was actually two one-bedroom apartments with the adjoining door open.
