The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom sink was almost blocked but we mentioned it to reception and I got the clear impression they would deal with it immediately! We only stayed one night but would stay again if we were in the area. "

However when we arrived the hotel had no record of the booking and were told there was no longer any queen rooms available. Therefore we had to take a twin. The staff were extremely helpful and gave us a discount for use in the dining. However we will not be using Expedia again. We have no complaints about the hotel. "We had a really pleasant stay at Penryn Guest House. The room and en suit was a nice size, clean and comfortable! It’s within reasonable walking distance to the town centre too. We would definitely stay there again! "

"we had a very pleasant stay here, its tucked away from noise and light, and has a games room and pool etc, so you were never bored. the food is very good, and breakfast is fit for a king!!"

"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"Really enjoyed our little overnighter here. Absolutely stunning building. Nice size room with high ceiling in gorgeous Tudor style. Bed comfy nice bedding. Read some bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Yes the carpet is a little old and the chair by the window but it’s all part of the charm. Large modern bathroom. Only negative was a little dust on the windowsills nothing to ruin a lovely comfy night sleep and lovely staff at check in too"
