"We got this stay on our way to Pompeii and got a wonderful surprise. Don Domenico received us at the gate and from there we got show to our lovely rooms and headed to a great dinner. Lorena and Giuseppe took care of the meal and stay. Can't say enough about out stay in Pompeii. And the property is right beside the Pompeii ruins. 5 min walk to the main entrance."

"The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, breakfast and evening meals were of a high standard. Very little around the hotel without a 25 minute walk to the local train station although they offer a shuttle service if required. Would definitely consider staying there again as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the busy areas yet close enough to get to any of the sights without too much trouble. Staff were able to arrange trips to all the major sights. Had a fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend. "

"Loved - hotel grounds, setting, decadence and quality of hotel. True place to relax and be pampered. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly and food was perfection. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms were beautiful and view from breakfast was out of this world. Just amazing. Negatives - the location was not quite where we wanted to be. Castlemmare Di Sabia is in the middle of pompei and sorrento. Great for hiking, cable car and trips in and around pompei but for us too far out from the evening entertainment of Sorrento. We spent a lot of time in taxis and trains to and from Sorrento for the nicer places to Dine and enjoy the atmosphere. Castlemmare is a bit of a dive compared! Glad we experienced the hotel as pure luxury and I know that if it was in sorrento it would be x3 more expensive per night! If we were to return I’d do two Nights here and 2 nights in sorrento"

"Excellent spacious room and bathroom, 3 mins walk to Pompeii ruins. Free parking in Eden Park - 2mins from hotel. Staff is also very good and polite. Hard to find it as it is tucked away from the main road. Limited breakfast but tasted good. Very limited vegetarian dinner options. "

"This hotel was fantastic. I booked with the intention of proposing to my girlfriend and I'd book this hotel again. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, they all spoke excellent English which isn't a requirement or expectation from me when traveling (after all, I am a guest in their country) but is very appreciative! We were a little restricted due to our vegetarian diet choice, but we always assume this will be the case anywhere. The restaurant in the hotel itself is fantastic! The staff there were amazing and there was one waiter in particular who made us feel very cared for. The beach, the bar and the swimming pool are all fantastic. We didn't make use of the spa as it doesn't interest us personally and the price was high enough that we didn't think "Eh let's give it a shot, why not.". The sea view room we stayed in was well furnished, clean and the view of Vesuvius was gorgeous. My only criticisms of the hotel are that it's location isn't fantastic (there's not much they can do about it - they offer shuttles from Vico Equense train station for €3 pp) and I wish there were more shaded common areas to sit. Most of the sitting areas serve a specific function such as the bar. There are benches but they're not in a shaded area and it gets very hot. Also if the hotel considered opening a little shop to buy drinks, snacks, etc, this would be much more appreciated as the vending machines leave much to be desired between meals."
