The views are stunning with changing weather conditions., and daily visits from the dear were fabulous. my granddaughters loved that part and played monopoly & hide and seek in the cottage daily. Dornoch Beach is a must visit, as it is stunning and the rock pools were explored thoroughly. I would love to be here for the winter with a roaring fire and provisions and a few good books, not moving to go anywhere. Lairg does not have much...

"The cottage was perfect for our first couple of nights in Scotland. We explored sights in the highlands and came home each day to our cozy abode. We didn’t get a chance to try the awesome wood stove/cook top but it was a beautiful backdrop. Beds were comfy, shower had great pressure and beautiful grounds to explore or just look at. Check out Tarvie, just up the road, for your breakfast coffee, hot rolls and baked goods - their tablet is the best!"

"What an unusual experience to stay in such a remote place. Our greatest pleasures were sitting on the outside bench watching life go by and all the remote walks we took. Plus…. the amazing piano! "The cottage was in a very scenic and peaceful setting which suited us. We used the cottage as a base for some local walks and other walks further afield. We discovered that the cottage was about 10 miles from the nearest main road and it took about 30 to 40 minutes of driving on a single track road to get to the main road. The nearest grocery stores were in Lochinver. There was quite a lot of traffic on the single track road,with people visiting the lovely beaches at Auchmelvich and Clactoll....

"The cottage is on a hill side overlooking the harbour and the views from the small deck are beautiful at anytime.the drive up to the cottage is extremely steep and narrow and the turning point at the top is limited. Inside the cottage is spacious and light, but some areas need an update, especially the kitchen. The weather was good and we enjoyed our time there."

"Property was as it said on the tin, plenty of hot water and cosy warm. surrounding area was even better. Hotel serving food within walking distance, Tea room next door- open in the early evening too. Good walks on the doorstep, all sides of Scotland accessible in a day."

"Lovely location as a base to explore the North West coast of the Highlands. Spacious house, good wood burner, good sized rooms, well equipped kitchen with all you'd expect. My only complaint would be a lack of some sundries, such as there were only a few toilet rolls between us 7 adults and 2 children - 2 out of the 3 bathrooms we used ran out of toilet paper. We also felt they were a bit stingy with laundry detergent - something which again we ran out of and had to buy our own. The other...
