"Excellent hotel and food in very rural hamlet on mountain road. Food is preordered for the evening if having meal . Beware hotel is on a mountain road with very very narrow width just width of car with blind corners and drops. Make sure come up from Lochinver not the other end or else you wish you hadnt if meet the motor caravans with no where to pull over. You be lucky to get out of 2nd gear. Dont attempt to drive this road if not a confident driver or novice. Be warned !! Barriers appear to be optional. On plus note highly recommend hotel and food. A short few minutes walk will bring you to a spectacular view point. "

"Such an amazing hotel, already trying to work out dates to visit again. We arrived having forgotten to ask if the hotel was dog friendly, and were delighted that they were able to make a dog friendly room available. We got lovely service had a very nice meal and generally loved our stay :)"

"Altguish inn was an unexpectedly nice stay that we experienced on out nc500 trip. The hotel is out of nowhere in the middle of the road with no attractions nearby. An old cute hotel. They have ample parking, and 1 slow electric charger in the carpark. The restaurant served good english breakfast. The sausages were amazing. The bar was good. The service was excellent. Now our room was also amazing with all necessary amenities. I would surely recommend the place for anyone travelling the route and needing a break."
