"Perfect house for a football weekend - comfortable, clean and convenient. The kitchen was well stocked for having meals and preparing for tailgating. VRBO in their listing should have each house inform whether bathroom shower soap and shampoo is provided as it varies from house to house. From experience we have learned to come prepared. We will plan to stay here again!"

"Loved everything about the place!!! Drive up the mountain was a little scary for the kids and I’m glad we had a 4x4 diesel for the steep roads (gravel and smooth, but more than we were used to). Perfect for our family of 5 and had room for others to bring next time. 4 yr old wanted to live there and not go home. Will absolutely book here again!!!"

"My group of BR's and our families thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin for our 20 year VMI reunion. It's about a 25 min drive from Post but well worth the drive. We enjoyed the pond, canoes, pedal boats etc. The kids fished from the stocked pond which is catch and release. Our group enjoyed the fire pit at night and the beautiful scenery of the mountains from the deck and of course the Jacuzzi was a nice way to hang out at night. We will keep this property in mind for future reunion...

"We needed a place close to the hiking trail we were going to do that could sleep our whole group, and this was close. Unfortunately the trails were closed due to wild fires a couple nights before our stay. Because of the late notice, we couldn't cancel our stay. We had to drive an hour and a half the next morning to get to another trail where we camped, but this cabin was large enough to accommodate our church group, we just couldn't enjoy our stay as long as we had hoped. "We really enjoyed our stay here. The views are unparalleled, and the house was exactly as described. We would stay here again. However, I would recommend that the owners upgrade their linens - the sheets on the King beds were too small, and there were no extra blankets for chilly nights. Our minivan made it up the hill, but we didn't realize that the unpaved road was about 2 miles long, so be warned. Definitely worth it for the views and solitude though!"

"We needed a house where we could cook large meals and play outside. This house and property was perfect for our family weekend. There was plenty of bedroom spaces for each family to have privacy and everyone slept well; the beds were comfortable. The common areas are large and easily accommodated all of us. "This modern-rustic cabin in the woods has been updated to be very comfortable for our group of 6. We went for the xmas holiday and had a wonderful time. The number of bedroom/bathroom were conflicting on the website. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear (no spices beyond salt/pepper so plan to bring everything that you will need). "We had a relaxing stay at Peaks of Otter. We walked the lake, took the shuttle almost to the top of Sharp Top Mountain and then hiked the rest of the way up, sat by the lake in the evenings by the fire pit, read on our balcony which over looked the lake, and ate in the dining room for most meals. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, answered all our questions and were always willing to help. Room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!"
