Only downside was that the room was quite small and it was missing some functional additions (e.g hanger where to hang the towels). "Perhaps the best hotel at Ilha Grande. Located away from Abrao. 5 min by hotel boat taxi, cost 20 BRL (4 USD) during the day hours and 40 BRL (8 USD) when it is dark, i.e. after 6pm. Walking is impossible for much of the time as the pathway is frequently flooded. Make sure you call/send whatsapp message to the reception in advance about your trips there and back. There is normally one trip every hour. The boat is quite small and at the beginning hard to identify but after a while you get used to...

"Great place in the middle between Paraty and Angra. Modern and beatiful small hotel with great breakfast. Not much to do around if you don't have a car. But ocean is everything you can dream off."

"beach front hotel, literally the dining room is 3 meters fromthe beach. Lots of restaurants and ahops nearby and 5 minute walk from the Abrao pier. The swimming pool was closed due to renovations. Breakfast was good, wirh delicious tapioca pancakes made to order, fresh fruit and lots of cakes. Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. "

"My fiance and I had a few extra days in the Rio area and found this amazing Pousada on the site. It was charming, quaint, and had the most amazing views. We had several quiet nights here and loved the darling breakfasts wheeled to our table on a cart. My suggestion to the host would be to have a written explanation of how to get hot water from the shower in several languages. "

"Campsite has a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Probably the cleanest campsite we have ever visited. Facilities are great and everything in the kitchen works fine. Staff is very helpful and speak okay English. We were allowed to store our luggage from checkout until our boat left in the evening. The tours that the hostel recommend is a bit expensive though."
