"We had a bad experience with the hotel's social media support and management, but the hotel itself is very beautiful. The views are spectacular, and the staff's service is excellent—they're always available when you need something. I especially want to highlight the attention and the food from the cook, Lili. I truly believe the hotel would lose its essence without her. One thing to note: there are a lot of stairs, so you need to be in good shape to access the rooms."

"L'endroit est parfait pour explorer Baie Drake et en étant un peu retiré pour la tranquillité. Sebastian le proprio offre le service de taxi pour un prix très raisonnable. Le balcon donne sur les arbres et les singes viennent à cet endroit. Sécuritaire pour aller seule à pied au village le soir avec lampe frontale. 1 km de la mer et 2 km du village. "Very noisy, the reception area was right under our room and there were chinks of light coming through the floorboards as well into the next room. You could actually see into the next room The water shut off randomly but the AC was awesome. Pretty much what you would expect for under $50/night."

I dove with Costa Rica Dive and Surf, which left from their office in Uvita. The dive equipment was in great shape and they had multiple dive masters with us. The Cano Island dive it a sandy bottom, easy, 60 foot dive, with light to medium currents. I didn't see a ton of great stuff, but this school of fish was worth it in itself. The trip includes two dives, an island trip, snacks, lunch, all your equipment rentals, etc. $175 per person for the day. Expensive, but supposed to be one of the best dive sites in CR, so worth it if you're in the area.
