"Expensive. Our superior room was on two levels which meant we would have had to go down stairs in the dark for the loo. So we opted for another room with a shower over the bath. The shower head had to be hand held as the bracket attaching it to the vertical rail was loose and so the shower slipped down. The bed was hard. "Lovely old building in a great location. The rooms are well appointed. Nice bathrooms but didn’t like the pillows on the bed. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was okay this morning but would have liked some fruit."

"We had a lovely stay. We were taking a bike trip and were shown a secure place to lock our bikes. We also had a wonderful meal at the hotel restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for those cycling in the area."
