"We have stayed here before and knew it was just about ok for an overnight stop, however our previous visits had been earlier in the year. On this occasion in July it was much warmer and the in room AC was almost pointless, barely any flow even on maximum and it did very little to cool the room. The room and building are showing their age and are shabby round the edges."

"Used this hotel as an overnight stop both on our journey down to the south of France and also on our return. Situated close to the railway station, the town centre and the old medieval town which is worth a stroll round. On our arrival on the journey down shortly before dusk the receptionist gave us directions to places to eat, most were closed so ended up at McDonalds!"

"Good value hotel with nice restaurant, the hotel fronted on to a busy road which might be a disturbance for those guests at the front, but we were at the side/rear. Facilities in the bedroom were good. It is on the edge of town so it is quite a walk to the town/village centre, but a pleasant place to stay."

"Well presented room, in a quirky building that was slightly difficult to find as the name board has fallen down at some time and not been put back up. Would consider using again, but might look for options slight closer to the centre of Montlucon. We were only staying for one night on our way south through France. Staff friendly, continental breakfast ok and parking on site."

"Très bon séjour avec un accueil au top. L'amabilité des personnes gérant l'hôtel est indéniable. Très bonne communication. La chambre Très propre et confortable. Petit déjeuner simple mais bon, avec de bons produits. Dommage qu'ils ne soient pas sous cloche (ormis le fromage). L'hôtel fait également restaurant avec des plats à la carte excellent. Le coq au vin... un délice. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas dautres type de plats proposés (pizza, quiche)... des plats plus simple avec budget plus...

"This hotel was not a planned destination but we're glad we wound there. The room was large and very comfortable. Good bathroom. Not marble upscale, but clean and comfortable. The restaurant was quite good and fairly priced. Even the wines. I wouldn't give high grades to the breakfast but it was good not to be tempted to overeat,"
