"Atlantis is great choice for Playa Bonita. The hotel is in this boardwalk that extends from end to end of the beach. The ocean in front of the hotel can be a bit rough but a short walk will get you to calmer waters. The room was nice and spacious, well stocked. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. "The construction site next to the property was extremely noisy and was not safe due to falling debris, I was moved to a better room with less noise. Overall, I enjoyed my stay! The environment was pleasant, and the price was unbeatable... Paulo and his wife were very accommodating. My suggestion is to advise the workers at the construction site to keep the shouting and loud speaking to a minimum "

"The beach is awesome. Unfortunately, the price one pays is not reflected in the state of the rooms. Too many ruined down details and basic things missing that frankly makes you mad since they are really simple to repair. The staff is amazing but entangled trying to keep up with all the clients demands resulting from the lack of maintenance. It is a shame. This place used to be tops. "I made a last minute booking because I was in the area later than expected. Upon arrival to the hotel they refused to let me stay because they were having a problem with the water and weren't accepting guests at the time. However, they processed my payment and confirmed my booking. The person in the hotel at my time of arrival was a security guard (there was no one available at the front desk) So I went ahead and requested a refund through Orbitz since that's where I booked it.
