"Really nice place. Friendly staff! Kumily is great for exploring Periyar. The hotel is 10-15 min walk from the entry point into Periyar national park. Clean and spacious room. No hot water in the shower head. However, there was a tap with hot water in knee-height and a plastic bucket. So it was possible to get a hot shower using that. "

"Old traditional hotel but rooms are in terrible decaying conditions and very dirty. Only a small portion in a newer building has renovated rooms. Pillows smelled so bad like never washed that I had to use a towel to cover them, but bed sheets were clean. Issues with old wood structure and termite damage in the rooms as well as very dirty bathroom.
