"Wonderful place - was an old convent then a military hospital. The building was constructed in the 1600's so it just radiates with character. We loved the worn marble stairs and the winding passage ways. It also has sitting areas throughout the hotel where you can sit and read or gather to talk or check emails. The staff is also extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place. "

"Incredible! Without a doubt this hotel was the most amazing place we stayed during our two months in Portugal and Spain. It is located 10-12 minutes from downtown Elvas and is located all alone out in the countryside. Very quiet if you don’t mind chickens, donkeys and sheep but absolutely zero city noise. Our price was one half to one third what we would have paid to stay in Elvas (€49/ night for two nights in the middle of the week including breakfast) and the room was quite large. It’s fun to...
