It is very quiet and very clean! We love staying here. We look forward to coming back many times! The property is so beautiful and the cabin is just what we need for our getaways! Gives us a peace of mind knowing we have great hosts!
Awesome place! The cabin is tucked away on a nice little pond, super quiet, and just a nice spot to relax. Very cozy and comfortable! The host was super nice and had everything set up with some nice little touches that made the stay easy.If you want a chill, peaceful place to get away for a bit, this one’s perfect. I definitely would and probably will stay again!
Very unique and cool place to stay. Chose to stay here because of the cleanliness reviews and it did not disappoint. Very clean and well kept. Unique little property and nice little get away. Was perfect for our short stay! Host is quick to reply and very helpful!
We were in Carbondale for graduation and were really happy with choosing this cabin instead of a hotel. It was super clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay!
This was a small cozy cabin. We were alone, however it was closer to town than we thought. The stay was nice and the cabin was very clean. Would stay again.
We were in the area for only one night and wanted to avoid a hotel stay. Found this cabin and were able to book for one night stay. Cabin is cute, cozy and had all the amenities we needed! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The cabin is a small yet comfortable space perfect for a couple looking for a relaxing getaway. I wish we could have stayed longer than we did, and I would certainly consider staying there again. The host was also very pleasant to work with. A highly enjoyable experience all around.
The house was perfect size for our family. My wife and daughters used the bed and I used the couch. Perfect for our 1 night stay to visit castle park and the surrounding area. Would book again if in the area. Very quiet, pretty stars at night with the sounds of nature, and felt secluded in the perfect way.

Tucked away and set by a pond. Saw deer and a fox! Clean and had the basic necessities.
A beautiful and peaceful property outside - a welcomed bit of nature with pond and wildlife. Inside was clean and attractive with attention to appreciated details.
In town for a couple days for work... Little Slice of Heaven was a million times better to come home to at the end of a long work day than any hotel in the area!!! The quant cabin nestled by the pond was the perfect peaceful retreat to decompress at the end of those days! I will definitely be booking with Crystal again for my next travel stint to the Marion Illinois area!!!!
We had a delightful overnight stay at this charming little slice of paradise. The cabin was spotless and perfectly situated at the end of a quiet gravel road, offering a peaceful, secluded feel while just a minute away from town. We enjoyed beautiful views of a tranquil pond and appreciated the cozy fire pit. The owner was excellent in communication, and the thoughtful amenities—such as coffee and a selection of DVDs—made our stay even more enjoyable.
My husband and I enjoyed the rural setting with the convenience of Marion’s historic downtown square only minutes away. Roger and Crystal responded to our questions and were so helpful with suggestions for area attractions and restaurants. Don’t miss The Vault and Bennie’s restaurants. The Garden of the Gods Observation Trail is breathtaking and is about a 45-minute drive away. The cabin is efficiently laid out, has inviting decor, and is very clean. We would stay here again.
My husband and I came across this adorable cottage as we needed a place to stay for our niece’s wedding over Memorial Weekend. This cottage is tucked away down a road that is private, lush with greenery, trees, and a pond. Inside reminds me of the beautiful cabins we stayed in Pigeon Forge, TN. Perfect for a couple and spacious bathroom/shower. When we came back in the evening after the wedding reception, the pond was alive and chirping. I had a cute small frog greet me at the stairs. Very clean and charming. Crystal is very responsive to questions preparing our stay and while onsite. We hope to be back when we aren’t so busy with family and stay just to explore nature and relax!
My husband and I and our two young kids booked this beautiful cabin for the 2024 solar eclipse. Check-in usually isn’t until 3pm and the eclipse was closer to 2pm. Crystal was amazing to work with and allowed us to check in early. It was truly the perfect place to watch the eclipse and just enjoy some unplugged time in nature.(WiFi worked great- we just wanted to spend all of our time enjoying the outdoors!) I cannot recommend this place enough!
We needed a place for a quick overnight and after arriving, we wished we would have booked for a second night. The cabin and outside surrounding were wonderful. So neat, clean, and just right for us. The space was calm and relaxing and lended itself for great conversation.
Crystal was very responsive when I had a question before booking.
We arrived late in the evening but when we woke up, we took a walk around the pond. The doe and her fawn came out to play! What a delight!
Thank you! Hope to return again!
This is a great property, a fun getaway right outside of Marion. We enjoyed our stay and the cabin and amenities were just as described. We would definitely stay here again!
