"Actually the hotel itself is OK. But the manager is corrupt! He claims that he hasn't been paid by Orbitz in over a year. Insisted that I pay the hotel directly before I could check out, even though Orbitz verified that they paid him. Orbitz still working on getting him to reimburse them (and thus me). I have recommended that Orbitz black list the Hotel Sol Beni, or at least stop listing it on their website."

"Extremely disappointing stay. The property did not honor the reservation. Did not provide a shuttle pickup from the airport. Neither I nor Expedia could get in touch with the property via email or phone. The property and room is in disrepair. Electronic lock on the door did not work, outlets, and lights were not functioning. No running water at times during my stay. "

Staff are generally quite helpful — and certain several particularly so, beyond what could reasonably be expected — though things can sometimes take longer than anticipated. Regular maintenance is clearly conducted. Gym could do with more updated machinery but still quite good. "
