"The hotel was beautifully situated right across from the railway station. The area isn't great with beggars, homeless and quite a lot of noise well into the early hours. Staff were great , really friendly. Room was very clean apart from a hair in the bath. No air conditioning which was a problem as temps hit 25 degrees the first night. Mini bar and kettle. Limited TV channel choice and no way to access for the fire stick. Bath/shower combination but all good. Didn't take meals at the hotel as there is a lot around about. Wasn't told about the WiFi but it is available."

"Booked a twin double room last minute for the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday nights. The room was perfect with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.The staff at breakfast and in the bar are fantastic. Very welcoming, attentive and helpful. My boy and me used the pool both mornings and having recently stayed at the Liverpool Crowne plaza, the pool here is much much better."

"Have stayed at vermont a few times now & we were shocked to find that you have to pay £20 now to use the car park when it was previously free! Had I known this I would have gone elsewhere . Room was really noisy as near railway line & birds squawking all night. We were left earplugs so obviously hotel was aware of this so as hotel seemed well under occupied why put us in that room! Bathroom was shabby, carpet not hoovered..... we won't be back"
