"This beautiful historical hotel was a gem of a find. It’s in the center of Mayaguez and Danny as the front desk man is so knowledgeable, engaging and pleasant ! He deserves a pay raise. The hotel is comfortable, efficient, modern in the right ways while keeping its historic qualities. There are plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options from the cathedral to theater to some of the best seafood of our trip at Gonzalez’ And the price is right. Only thing missing is a pool but there are plenty of beaches close by."

"My stay with my friends at El Faro Hotel in Puerto Rico was simply amazing. The landscape and design was breathtaking. Such a peaceful atmosphere that makes every moment feel like a tropical escape. The staff is warm and attentive, and to my surprise the food and drinks were amazing. I will definitely stay here again. It was truly an unforgettable and relaxing stay."

"Sadly I have to say that our stay in Hotel Vista Azul was a disaster! Our room had bugs, there was NO hot water & when I went to use the phone to call the front desk the phone on our room was not working so we walked to the lobby & there was not a single staff member in sight! We were told by another guest that the only person working in the hotel at the time was a security guard. That was also nowhere in sight! The bathroom was not cleaned properly as the floor was dirty & had an unpleasant smell! The place was in a beautiful place but that all it had going for it! Don’t waste your time or money here! You will absolutely regret it!! With all that said I highly DO NOT recommend this place!!"

"The property is at a nice location, there's restaurants within walking distance and lots of parking. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Our room had several little things that needed fixing missing tiles in the shower, the bathroom door wouldn't close, the left balcony sliding door wouldn't lock and the closet doors would come of the rail every time we opened it to access the little fridge. Maintenance needs to be better. Overall though we rented four rooms and the experience was nice and we had fun so we've definitely stay here again. The bar is closed on account of personnel shortages but they do have a restaurants on site that sells drinks."
