Wonderful stay in the center of the city! Everything was extremely clean, check-in process was very easy and it was spacious for a city apartment. Shopping and dining was extremely close by.

Great spot

Great spot but be prepared to walk as the main street in front of the hotel was closed off to traffic. Checkin was easy, Bar staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Great location with an abundance of street food, coffee and dining choices. A kids park just outside the front door, provided endless entertainment to kids and adults.

Ein-und auschecken lief reibungslos. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, dadurch ist es am Abend etwas lauter. Aber alles in allem, waren wir zufrieden.

Gute zentrale Lage. Mit grossen Reisekoffern ohne Lift in den 4. Stock im engen Treppenhaus war eine Herausforderung. Kein Föhn (Haartrockner) im Zimmer finden wir unmöglich - Touristen, die mit dem Flugzeug anreisen wollen nicht auch noch einen Haartrockner einpacken!

Akureyri centrall located economical accommodation

My only criticism is that the only TV in this guesthouse did not work. Otherwise, for value and location, this guesthouse is excellent. The staff at the restaurant next door, standing in for reception, were also very friendly and helpful.

The location of the hotel is ideal, it is on the Main Street with all restaurants and bars. Although it is a central location, the street was EXTREMELY loud until about 4am. The room was so hot and we could not leave the window open due to the noise. The bed was very uncomfortable and the shared bathrooms weren’t the cleanest.

Pros : area was great. Free parking nearby (not on site). Bars and shops right out front. Easy to find. Good comuunal space and kitchen Cons : blood drops on my bedding. Shared bathrooms at end of hall were not clean. Shower doors were hanging off the hinges. No elevator. Very loud. Could hear toilets flushing from my room, and very heavy doors closing repeatedly.

No frills; but comfortable

We had two rooms; each small; but sufficient. Bathrooms very compact; showers bit small if you are taller person. They offered a shared space on the 4th floor with full kitchen and lounge area. There is no Elevator for luggage etc. There was no TV in the rooms; and no glasses either...you had to go to the 4th floor to get one if you wanted one. The staff here was cordial but not nearly as friendly and helpful as we had experienced at other locations. We did have dinner in their restaurant; and it was very good.
