It was our first stay in this hotel and following reviews was perfect Food in restaurant was superb we ate there every night of our stay Tasting many items in menu The staff were friendly and helpful

Nice Access to Downtown
We stayed a couple of nights in Dec 2023. The hotel was nice, there was some noise from the bar downstairs during the night and off the street. You are located right downtown with easy access to restaurants and shopping. There’s not a whole lot of parking access right at the hotel and the parking there is you can pay for in the Parka app.

Easy to find. Parking just outside the hotel. Plenty of eateries and a shopping street itself. Check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff from the Resturant which shared the entry with the hotel. Good room size. Good sound insulation as well. We like everything about this hotel. We would definitely stay again if we visit akureyri.

Wonderful hotel
This is a wonderful hotel. Clean and new. Centrally located. Even have simple kitchen for guests to use, plus a laundry room. Love it. Such a wonderful hotel

A nice location but a very small room
The good first. The Centrum Hotel Akureyri is a small hotel centrally located, with lots of restaurants in the area. Street parking was available (free from 4pm to 10am) and paid after that. The hotel was clean and in good condition, and everything worked. The not so good. Our room was tiny. There was about 2ft of floor space on either side of the bed, and 3 ft at the foot. Nowhere to put our suitcases except on the bed - had to close them up at night. One straight back wooden chair that was in the way. If we had been spending more time in the room, it would have been an issue.

Perfect location- right in the centre. Walking distance to everything. Comfortable room, However noisy especially on the weekends due to the music/parties coming from the street. We didn’t mind, but if you looking for a quiet hotel then this is not the one.

The apartment was very clean and nice, with kitchenette and big bathroom. Great location right in the center of downtown. It was a little loud at night but due to the location that was pretty expected.

This is a fantastic property if you enjoy being in the heart of activity and nightlife! You will not be disappointed. The rooms are above a bar/restaurant. You will NOT hear noise from there. But the street can get loud at night. It's important to note this is located on a pedestrian-only road. You must park in close but crowded public parking and walk. Just a heads up if you are following directions on Google map to show you the way. You check-in at the bar. There is an elevator but it through the restaurant. We learned that we prefer a quieter atmosphere and a place that's easier to access with car.

Nice location for walking around town. Located above a bar and no real hotel staff to check you in. They had to find the person responsible, but once we got checked-in all went smooth. Parking is on the street and has to be paid between 10am and 4 pm, but we managed to get a spot both nights so it worked out fine.

The room was clean and the bathroom was big with strong shower pressure. There are street food stands and shopping nearby. The only drawback was that the sofa bed was not comfortable for my kids.

The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful upon check in. There really isn't a front desk staff for this property. The folks at the bar/restaurant downstairs handle the check-in. Fortunately we did not need any help from the staff. Rooms were OK. Parking can be at least a several minute walk from the property. In our opinion it was overpriced for its appearance and lack of staff. However, the location was terrific and we had no problems.

Great stay! The room itself is nice. The town does get lively at night but we were so tired it didn’t keep us up. Loved the laundry option! Parking can be tricky but we were able to find free parking right in front! Must have been luck! Totally recommend a stay here. Right in the center of the city!

Great room with very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. If you stay on the weekend and need sleep maybe opt for a room that doesnt face the main street as there are people up and about until like 4am. Other than that and the chick moaning from getting railed and spanked every other hour in the room next to mine i had a lovely stay everything was right there food, shopping, and attractions all within a brisk walking distance. 10/10

Right at the centre of the city, might not always have parking at the front but big parking area just behind. There are restaurants around and some open til 11. Walkable to the church and cultural centre. And very convenient self serving laundry.
