"Outside looks a bit rundown but interior is nice, spacious clean room nice balcony with ocean view, decent pub and breakfast buffet, service is excellent. Loved snorkeling and shelling on beach to the side of the property, beach out front is too rocky to walk on . Slightly disappointed there was no gym but pool is nice. A special sunset in the Liwa Desert, on the northern edge of Rub Al’ Khali (The Empty Quarter), the world’s largest uninterrupted sand desert.
I climbed a high sand dune and was treated to an extraordinary sight. Seated on the cushion that was the soft fine sand, I looked out at the iridescent sand dunes that stretched out far and wide, and watched in awe as the bright beautiful sun finally disappeared into the horizon.

"I haven’t stayed at the Khalidiya Palace hotel for some time and it was as good as I remember. It’s well located to get onto the corniche for a walk or popping up to Marina Mall for shopping or coffee. It’s got good facilities for swimming in pool and sea as well as Gym. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous but get there earlier if you prefer a more relaxed peaceful breakfast. Rooms are spacious and nicely designed. I had a room on the 15th floor this time overlooking the sea - it was simply wonderful! Finally, the room was kept spotless during my stay. Finally, finally, very pleasant check in and check out and friendly staff on the breakfast buffet."
