"This was a cozy spot for a romantic long weekend getaway! Property was well-stocked. The location was handy for the making the most of winter in Michigan (skiing, snowshoeing)."

"Very cute place, perfect for what we needed and in close distance to various cities. So many nice touches. We got to see deer right off their deck…so close. Best part for us was we got to enjoy it with our dog! She loved laying on the deck in the sun while we played games. "

"This hotel is located in a great spot - it is within walking distance to the ferry, several restaurants, and the shopping "mall." The manager was great and responded quickly when we requested support - extra towels and change for housekeeper's tip. Parking was convenient and appreciated along a busy strip.
It is an older building and that showed in several areas of the room (torn weather stripping on the door), bulging wallpaper in the bathroom near the shower, a light that was no longer working, etc. But it was clean and that was extremely important to us."
"Overall it was a nice place to stay. We were there in June when the “midges” had hatched. If you can plan your trip for a different time, I would recommend it! They were a nuisance. we opened our balcony door without realizing it was covered in those bugs! We spent the next 10 minutes trying to kill them all! We took Arnold transit ferry to the island and could buy tickets at the hotel. It was a very short walk which was very convenient. Breakfast was good.
We were there for 2 nights but had booked those two nights separately due to plans changing. The staff were very helpful in allowing us to check out and check back in to a new room (we were upgraded for free the first night and couldn’t stay on that room both nights.)"
"This hotel was as good or better than others of this type. 24 hour front desk, breakfast in the lobby, large comfortable and clean room with quiet AC unit. It is an easy walk to the ferry. As a bonus, the pool looked very nice."

"Room was not ready when checking in... no biggie, understandable to get behind at the beginningof the season. Staff was very nice and welcoming, offered seating so I could work which was nice and we didnt wait long at all for our room to be ready. The room was spacious and clean enough, furniture was comfortable and well maintained. The biggest disappointment was having a corner balcony it was the tiniest space, two chairs but only big enough for 1 person to sit comfortably, though we did not want to sit out there due to it being filthy and spider infested. It is in desperate need of a power wash.At night the balcony has a light that has no switch to turn it off. The shower head was stuck on mist and did not make for a pleasant shower. The pool and hottub appeared clean. Towels were well stocked. Hottub hand rail was about to snap off. Breakfast was good. I hate leaving a bad review because I know how hard staff works in hotels. It was just not a good experience overall. The property needs a lot of maintenance."
