The house was dog friendly with a fenced in yard with lighting. A fantastic game room in the basement. It was close to restaurants and outdoor activities. I would stay there again in a minute.

Surprise family get away
Surprised my husband with a weekend get away with mother-in-law, Daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, and family pet (Otis, Great Dane)…met son, daughter-in-law, grandson in Jim Thorpe for a train ride Saturday. Friday night we ate at Baby Boomers which was 6 minutes away and returned Saturday for breakfast!!! So delicious and all enjoyed the chef’s cooking & large portions. Dinner reservations Saturday night at Macaluso’s 20 minutes away was just as delicious. We had more than enough room plus Otis had enough room to run in the enclosed back yard. We played all the games in the basement enjoying each other’s company. Thank you Will for the opportunity my husband said he will never be able to beat the experience.

Loved this house! I had my dog with so the fenced backyard was a hug bonus! It was also my birthday and my sister came to visit for the day so the basement game room was super fun. Will was a great host as he was very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Good location, but not as nice as in listing
Good location with a private & quiet backyard. Game room is nice and as described (except all the ping pong balls were dented and the pool table light doesn’t turn on). Overall this property needs maintenance. What you see in the pics does not fully reflect what you are getting now and when I inquired with the owner, he was unresponsive. We will not stay at an MVP property in the future. Little things add up: - very long dark hair in downstairs shower - food crumbs in the downstairs bed, under the comforter & white marks/stains on the comforter and pillow case. - the sofa had wet sticky cereal stuck between the cushions - the sofa and pillows are well loved and starting to look old (and not blue as pictured ??) - it was very cold in the house the first morning (56 degrees). One baseboard heater in the LR isn’t working and the other took over 3 hours to increase the heat 4 degrees. - the fireplace would not turn on with the remote (no extra batteries I could find) - we could not get the ceiling fan in the upstairs Queen bedroom to turn on (batteries?) - the blind in this room is too short, letting early sun in, and the window has no screen - the upstairs bathroom fans squeaks and rattles - nearly every frying pan was unusable with scratches/scorch marks/baked on food and the closet itself is filthy - all but one plate was badly chipped and if the house is at capacity, there are not enough (& also not enough glasses) There is an overall lack of upkeep throughout.

game room is so much fun
House is exactly as advertised. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and our dog, but could have easily handled a larger group. The fenced in backyard was great for running the dog around. If the weather was nicer we would have spent much more time out there. The key to the house is the game room in the basement. very high quality games that had the kids and adults entertained the entire weekend. Will the owner was very responsive when we had questions about the fireplace. i would highly recommend staying here if visiting the poconos.

Owner very nice and accommodating. Good location for skiing. Kitchen just wasn’t stocked with basics. No tea kettle, only 2 wine glasses or any type of platters etc.

Wonderful Stay!
We had an amazing weekend. There were two adults, three teenagers, and two doggies and everyone enjoyed their time at the house. We found the house to be very clean and spacious enough for all of us. The dogs absolutely loved the fenced-in backyard to run around and play in the snow. The kiddos loved the basement with all the fun games. The owner, Will, was very communicative and even helped us to check in a little early due to some bad weather (which we really appreciated). We would love to return in the future for another wonderful Poconos adventure!

Holiday Getaway
Overall, a great stay! Home was clean (although I agree with another review that it could stand a good deep clean) and comfortable for 3 adults and a pup. Fenced in yard was EVERYTHING when it comes to having a dog. My apartment living dog never had so much fun in her life! When she wasn’t outside, she sat at the window staring at the deer and birds. Game room was a great bonus too. We did lots of walks, friendly community and very laid back. Only negative would be the kitchen amenities. The cookware was in such bad condition that most pans had the finishes chipping off. Just unusable, surprised it hasn’t been thrown away. We had to buy cookware when we were there and ended up leaving some of what we bought there for other guests to use. Again, host was great and I would definitely stay here again! I actually just booked another one of the hosts properties!

In Need of a Deep Clean
This rental offers the potential for a nice retreat in a quiet community but misses the mark on some important getaway must-haves. While the basement game room is definitely the highlight of this rental and the stove is very cozy, this home lacks cleanliness in a BIG way - floors, walls, upholstery, etc. Additionally, there were not enough towels for the number of guests and the pullout couch did not have any blankets or linens so we found ourselves traveling to the local Dollar General for warm blankets. The kitchen essentials were sparse and it was very difficult to locate the trash station and the basketball/playground/volleyball that’s advertised in the rental pics. Overall, not the best experience.

Well worth it
This rental was the perfect place for our family getaway. The kids loved the arcade room and enjoyed playing with the various games throughout the evening. The house was clean and had a cozy vibe to it. The neighborhood was quiet and easily reachable via major roadways.

We had a great time here even though it rained all 3 days! We didn’t get to enjoy the backyard because of the rain but the fenced in yard was wonderful for our dog. We really enjoyed the game room especially our adult sons. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Perfect for 3 generations of our family. Great game room to keep our triplet 12 year old boys. 1st floor bedroom for us oldies (76 and 71) no steps. Pool and lake /beach 5 minute drive.

Awesome House!
We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean and modern. The layout was perfect for our family. Grandmom was able to use the bedroom and bathroom next to the kitchen with her walker. Parents and teens used the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. We enjoyed sitting on the deck while our puppy ran in the fenced yard. The teenagers had a great time playing games in the basement, playing basketball and tennis at the park, and fishing in lake. Unfortunately it was too rainy to use the beach and boats, but they both looked fun on a sunny day. The owner was very helpful and prompt with our communications.

Plenty to do without leaving the
This property and the owner exceeded my expectaions. The home is nicely arranged with an open floor plan and high ceilings when you enter, and a second floor that overlooks the first floor livingroom and entry. The kitchen flows nicely into the dining area and makes it easy to stay connected while doing meal prep. The gameroom was stellar. We played hours of pool, airhockey, table tennis, a little shuffleboard, and foosball. We didn’t want to leave our dogs behind, and this property turned into a nice stay for them as well, with a large fenced-in yard. I was impressed by the owner’s hospitality and consideration as well. A winter storm came in on our last night there. The owner proactively reached out and let us know that we could checkout later in the day so that the snow plows had enough time to clear the roads. Even hours after the scheduled checkout time, he once again reassured us of the same. Everything was just wonderful, and I hope to book this stay again in the near future!

Weekday Get Away
My Wife and I got a few days alone and took a little trip to PA. We had our dogs and wanted something out in the woods. This house was perfect for us. The location was great. Trails were a few blocks away. The yard is fenced in and the deck was nice. The house in general was clean and accommodating. The game room is amazing. Can't wait to come back out with the kids.

Amazing time minus the roaches
The house was kept in good condition. Down stairs was amazing for a weekend get away. Plenty of stuff to do. The cockroaches in the kitchen were a huge turn off. Had to travel home with my luggage in trash bags so I wouldn’t infest my own home. If it weren’t for the roaches you would have a 5 star rating from me.

I am uncertain what this individual believes they saw but it wasn't roaches I can assure you of that. This individual stayed in mid Jan 23. There have been 4 groups in between his stay, and the time the review posted, and zero reports of any bugs. In fact one group that stayed has already left a 5 star review which you can read. I have quarterly pest control, they inspected and verified zero roaches. Mice and spiders are issues in the Poconos. There are no roaches unless they are brought along with the guest to the house. This individual will be receiving a demand letter from my attorney to remove this false review. I have attempted to call this individual several times and the call goes directly to VM.

Comfortable, roomy, beautiful neighborhood with privacy
We loved it! The place was just lovely and we were very happy. Everything looked really clean except glass patio doors were a little smudged and floors were vacuumed but not sure they were mopped before we checked in. . We may have rushed cleaning process because we asked to check in a little early. Host was kind and allowed us to check in an hour or so early. We really have no complaints or regrets. Suggestion-Bring personal amenities for shower and dish detergent. There was washing machine and dryer but we did not use so I don’t know if laundry detergent was furnished. There was small liquid dish detergent but it looked like something was inside it so I bought one at the Dollar General store and kept it for my own home. House furnished with Paper towels, t-paper and plenty of dishes and pots if you choose to cook. We ate meals in restaurants in Jim Thorpe and other places. Not a lot of restaurants very close by but there is a little pizza place and Dollar General about 5 minutes away. Beautiful home with huge backyard - we saw deer several times. Basement was a wonderful surprise with pool table and air hockey table and ping pong table and dart board. Gas fireplace. Simple but lovely decor. You have to haul trash to dumpster but there were easy instructions. We did not use community amenities like the pool because we visited to see the Autumn leaves and we were not disappointed. Beautiful! We would definitely stay again.

Nice getaway from city life
The place was clean and cozy with plenty of space for 8 people and our Shepherd. They provided us with toilet papers, a roll of paper towel and plenty of plates and utensils. The area was great for our kids to bike ride and our dog to run around. Wrist bands were also provided to use the community amenities. We had a good time escaping from city life.

Spend Christmas in this house with my family(party of 8) We got to the house and the process from start to finish was easy and painless. The house is clean, the furniture is in tact and the kitchen is “homie”. There was a leak that was quickly rectified when i notified management. The house comfortably fit everyone. Great experience

Ok in general, some minor repairs are needed, like enter button on tv remote, bad and worn out receptacles around kitchen counter, no instructions on how to use gas fire place. If you are taller than 5’9” “be careful when you go to the basement, there is a low clearance beam with two dangerous. nails sticking down. We all had a good time, lots of room for fun, the area it’s very nice and safe. I would recommend the place to people that wants to relax and be close to nature “Lots of deer in the area”
