"Hotel was recently remodeled and the room was very modern in appearance and furnishings. Clean. On the same level as a Holiday Inn Express but perhaps a bit nicer. Very helpful and professional staff."

"Overall great stay and a great value. The room - almost a suite was excellent in every way. The staff is outstanding Breakfast outstanding- the lady who makes the biscuits is a true treasure- best biscuits I have ever had, service was superior. Only two things that need to be worked on -the driveways - all gravel and many parts in need of repair, some parts washed out. Maintenance on the exterior of some buildings in need of work. Overall highly recommend and we will be back"

"Our small group stayed for two weeks for work. It was perfect. We were able to get some fishing in and there are several restaurants and stores close by. We also did some grilling! Thank you for a great stay. I would definitely stay again."

"Would have been nice to have more than one and a half pillows when we booked the room for 2. The one lumpy pillow the desk gave us was uncomfortable. Apparently they lock up the housekeeping items so if you need a pillow or blanket you’re out of luck."

"Peaceful and quiet easy to find. Great views of Mississippi.. Lovely pool and lots of outdoor spaces to relax. Good room slept well nice compact bathroom. Didnt meet host. Average breakfast at Monmouth.which is a lovely stately home. Dont have the french toast basically fried bread with what didnt look like cream cheese in between and dusted with powdered sugar no fruit as you would usually have - wasnt good!"

"The place was beautiful. Very comfortable with all the needed amenities. The hostess was extremely accommodating! And we caught lots of fish.We definitely plan to go back!"

"We had an amazing stay that exceeded expectations! House and room were immaculate. We enjoyed walking the property and sitting on the expansive porches. Bobbie was an excellent host, cooked a delicious breakfast and gave us a great personalized tour. We look forward to returning to this beautiful estate on our next visit."
