House was comfortable and relaxing. It is a delightful old farm house - well updated with comfortable beds. It was closer than expected to a rather busy road. Needed to get use to the traffic noise. Location was convenient for visiting places in the area. Also enjoyed bird watching and some deer sightings.

Lots of space

I stayed here with my daughter and 2 daughter in laws. Loved the 4 bedrooms and 3 baths….it made it easy gals getwawy. A roomy living room was perfect for crafting and visiting

Wonderful weekend!

Absolutely loved our time! Perfect open kitchen/dining area for family time while cooking/eating. Ample parking and helpful/accommodating host! The kids loved the space and the hot cocoa with breakfast! They continuously asked if it "could be our third house and we move in so we can come whenever we we want"! Can't wait to be back!

23rd Year Girls Trip

The location was easy to find. The house was clean and had a bed for everyone in our group of 9. It was easier to relax in a home and preparing our own meals there vs a hotel with little rooms and only a microwave. Location wasn't far from shopping or restaurants. Such a cozy place to stay and would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay

Mary is awesome! Friendly, accommodating and helpful. The house is packed with everything you need. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner with the dishware all available for 10 people. Lots of rooms and bathrooms. We will be back!

Great house

The house was clean and welcoming. Our stay was great. The manager lives on the third floor however and I think that should be listed in the listing. It wasn’t necessarily a problem but I think people should be made aware.

Nice for big family

Beautiful house, very clean but not quite the right fit for my husband and I! It would be great for a big family get together but not as much a honeymoon getaway because the owner lives there with you! Great Christian woman though!

Wish we could have stayed longer

We were in town for a funeral and needed a place for 6 adults. The 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms was perfect. There's one bedroom on the main floor and 3 upstairs. It is an older, sometimes creaky farm house, but it was VERY clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need for cooking. There's a nice deck and side yard, too. Our teen kids enjoyed the tether ball. It was in a perfect location for us - close to Carlos, Nelson, Osakis and Alexandria. We will definitely stay again.

Cozy family getaway!

Mary was a very kind host. She lives on the top floor but let me know ahead of time when she would be coming or going. I was here with my family of 6 as we just needed a place to stay for a night traveling home. The home was so adorable and had coffee/tea available in the kitchen, Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and included extra pillows, bathroom essentials, and extra towels. We enjoyed our tea on the main porch of the house in the morning. My only note is the highway was very noisy at night so be aware of that if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood. Great stay!

Lovely well equipped and stocked home

We were only in town for a wedding for a short visit but this home was a perfect spot for what we needed. First floor bedroom is handicap accessible. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is very well stocked. Would stay again. The only thing the listing may not mention is that the property owner lives on premises on the top floor of the home and needs to come through the house to get to her apartment. Wasn’t a problem for us but it may bother some people, especially if they aren’t aware before booking.

The house was well stocked, plenty of towels, paper products, soaps and anything else you would need kitchen wise (with the exception of a wine opener or wine glasses). It was mostly clean however when I looked up I noticed quite a bit of dust/cobwebs on higher up light fixtures and doorframes and there was a charging station in the living room that was covered in smudges. This might sound nitpicky but as someone who used to clean for a living I notice these things. The house was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. I believe it’s noted in the listing now and in other reviews but the owner lives on the third floor and uses the same entrance to come and go however we only saw her twice during our stay and weren’t bothered by it at all.My main issue with the listing accuracy is that it says things like “nestled in the woods” “tranquil farmhouse” that gives the impression that this house is tucked back in a quiet area and this is definitely not the case. It’s literally right next to a busy county road and most of our stay it was too noisy to enjoy time outside or even hear eachother talk. Also some of our guests said they could hear road noise from their bedrooms at night. One last note would be that there is overt Christian messaging and decor throughout the house. If this makes you uncomfortable I would skip it.

Onsite property manager accesses their space through the rental

The house itself is great - both clean and comfortable. However, the property manager lives onsite (which is mentioned in the ad). However, it was not made clear that the property manager needs to pass through the rental unit in order to access her space. This was not communicated to us until the morning of check in. This should be made clear in the description of the property. Also, the house serves as a Christian retreat center. While I don’t have any issues with a Christian retreat center - it would have been easy for the property manager to minimize some of the overt Christian messaging. There were Christian books/magazines in every bedroom, donation request forms in the kitchen, and a HUGE cross in the front yard. If the Christian messaging is to remain - it should also be made clear in the description of the property.
