"Le service ne correspondait pas à nos attentes pour ce genre d'établissement (personne à la réception à 16h, peu de service au déjeuner, manque de serviettes aux bains chauds.) Les lieux sont toutefois très jolis et apaisants. Ne comptez cependant pas sur la connexion internet qui est instable."
A cozy riverfront retreat, Grandfather’s Landing cottage provides it all!
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent waterfront getaway to relax and unwind. Transportation was a breeze, cabin was well stocked and the covered patio was awesome! Property was pet friendly and super quiet. We loved watching the ships go by!"
Cosy cottage by lake Francis between Montreal and Ottawa
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was clean, with good air conditioning & a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence River. (I would caution those unfamiliar with life by the river that inside lights should always be turned off when opening exterior doors as little tiny black bugs tend to swarm in--they tend to die off quickly and just need to be swept up & wiped away--just a nuisance, but mostly avoidable by ensuring the lights are off when leaving the cabin.)
The kitchen was well supplied with adequate pots & pans, including a baking sheet, frying pans, and a casserole dish. It had adequate utensils both for eating & for food preparation & cooking. Salt & pepper, sugar, and even some olive & other cooking oil was provided. We did not see a barbeque, but did not really miss it.
The owners supplied a French press, some coffee beans, & a blade coffee grinder as well as a beautiful tea set, a sampling of teas, & some maple honey. Being large coffee drinkers, however, we brought our own large drip coffee brewer & coffee beans/burr grinder as well as a microwave oven for reheating. The owners left a large supply of bottled water in the fridge, but given the length of our stay & unsuitability of the well water for drinking, we simply purchased a 40 dollar portable water filter to ensure an adequate supply of suitable water for coffee, et cetera for our ten-day stay.
The owners were quick to respond whenever we had need to communicate with them and were very accommodating. We very much enjoyed our stay."
Quiet countryside getaway - indoor pool, pet-friendly. Fun for family & friends!
10/10 Excellent
"We couldn't have asked for more. There are several areas both inside and out for large gatherings as well as more intimate spaces to enjoy some quiet time. The star of the show had to be the indoor pool. Everyone had fun in it but our grandsons enjoyed it the most,Even some rain couldn't dampen our spirits since there was so much to do indoors and the solarium was a great place to sit and watch the rain come down. All in all, we had a terrific time and we really do hope to be back sometime."
