"It was very quiet and the staff was helpful. However they had us booked for one queen bed room when I reserved a double queen bed room. They were able to accommodate a double queen bed for us in the end."

"High marks for cleanliness. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were less comfortable than standard motel pillow expectations.
I marked this review down to a 4 because of their exorbitant pet fee. On hotels.com it says dog friendly with a fee. In my experience, the fee is usually around $20/night. I did pay $30/night once at a nicer hotel. They charged us an extra $40 on an $80/night room!!! A 50% charge for a small dog for a motel with vinyl floors. I find that absolutely egregious.
I don’t expect much in the way of amenities from small town motels, but I would note this motel does not have conditioner in the bathroom. They also have a weird sign affixed to the wall about not flushing feminine products or marijuana.
There was no one at the desk to check us in at 8:00 pm and no one to check us out at 9:45 am. We had to wait five minutes for the owner to return to check in. We ended up leaving the card in the room at check out. We were only concerned about checking out at the desk because they said check out was at 10:00 am and they had more exorbitant fees if you weren’t out by 10:00.
Overall, it was a decent price unless you have a pet, then it was WAY not worth it. I would not stay there again with my dog. You will probably be satisfied if you just want a clean, cheap motel, are prepared to check out before 10:00 am and don’t have a pet."

"Conditions were poor. Lighting, horrible. Smells very bad. Maybe because of the mice and mice poop? Might want to do something abt that. I’d like a refund to be honest. I can send pics of mouses feces if necessary "
"The Ashford loft is not up to the standards typically followed in most VRBOs I’ve stayed in throughout the area. The space in the loft is very poorly laid out, the step up bathroom is on the opposite side of the loft, from the bedroom, the carpets need to replaced as they are worn out and appear to be dirty. The bedroom mattress and the bedding (pillows, sheets, mattress pad, etc.) are old and worn out. The electrical outlets are not conveniently located and appear to be outlets from years ago. Not necessarily safe as modern plug items hang out from the receptacle. Everything in this loft is outdated, old, and worn out. The bathtub shower combo is as old as the shower curtain and hard to balance temperature. The bathroom sink has hard to turn squeaky handles. Hot water takes forever. We stayed in a different room at this establishment during November of last year as well with the same issues. There have been no improvements. Albeit the building is very old and noisy, it could be at least clean, presentable and welcoming."
