Excellent Location
Carlos was an excellent host. He offered to arrange pick up at the bus station, met us at the door and told us everything we would need to know about the property and the area. He even brought some delicious tarts, 2 beer and a bottle of wine. Knowing we were from Canada, he went out of his way to make sure that we could watch NHL hockey while in Portugal! We appreciated the grab bar and the bathmat in the bathtub. Many properties do not provide those 2 items in Europe, yet they are so necessary for safety. The wrap-around terrace was welcoming. We felt very safe in the area and enjoyed the short walk to Mike's Bar a couple of times to listen to some great live music. Highly recommended!

Lovely apartment perfectly placed !
Lovely spacious apartment located close to bars and restaurants and supermarkets but not noisy. Kitchen was well equipped Safe and secure off street parking and nice quiet pool area Carlos was the perfect host allowing us to check in early. The pastries, wine and beers were a lovely welcome gift.

Very clean, spacious apartment in a great location. Few minutes walk to the beautiful beach & right in the heart of the shops, restaurants and bars. Check in /check out was very easy & well organised. Carlos met us at the property on arrival to show us around & he very kindly left us fresh pastries, cold beers & a bottle of wine.

Absolutely amazing property.
The apartment is wonderful, in central location for beach, restaurants and bars. Apartment equipped with everything you need. As for Carlos, the owner, whell what can I say, a very lovely gentleman. Showed us around the apartment and explained. Even had water and wine on arrival. We should have left on thurs but staying until saturday now. We will definately be booking again for next year, if Carlos has availability. A big thankyou to Carlos for a fantastic holiday

Lovely apartment in Alvor
The apartment itself was fantastic, lovely and clean and well maintained, it has everything you could possibly need for self catering even down to an egg slicer . The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds , 2 good sized bathrooms, both with good showers and one with a bath. The balcony was gorgeous with plenty of seating, even had sky tv . The owner Carlos was a lovely man , met us at the apartment and showed us around, he even gave us a couple of pastries and left bottle of wine and some beer in fridge, we would definitely stay here again.

Relaxed, peaceful, great service
On arrival, I was met by the host, Carlos, who is an absolutely charming and friendly person. His property was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Carlos took time to make sure I knew how everything worked, knew which keys to use in which locks, and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. A delightful experience and I am already arranging my next visit.

Excellent Location for Alvor Centre & Beaches.
Very convenient property to all Alvor amenities with an excellent host in Carlos who was helpful in every way to make our stay very enjoyable. The apartment is comfortable with all the necessary requirements for self catering. It sits at the end of a 4 storey apartment block with lounge kitchen/dining area, one double bedroom and one twin en-suite bedroom. There is also a private bathroom adjacent to the double bedroom. It also benefits from a wrap around balcony for outside dining and relaxing. Air conditioning and a log burner are also included. We stayed for 5 weeks throughout Feb/March and will definitely return.

Perfect location!

Your comment is not correct and you are not saying the truth. Who is disappointed and surprised is me..You book for two(2) people. Later informed me that were 5 (five) and with more demands. ( cot, grand chair to the table) I´d had e-mailed you ( in February) with the price (140 Euros) and text you about rules of the site . On your arrival i showed you the emails .and messages on WhatsApp. You had ( seven) 7 months to adjust and control your budget and never said that didn´t pay, . I meet and asked about stay your daughter and husband and you, about stay and all said that was all ok. So i don´t understand ...

Relaxing stay in Alvor
The owner Carlos is a real gentleman. He met us at check in to explain use of TV, entrance to apt & recommend Alvor restaurants. He also kindly left us some refreshments & Portuguese pastries. The apartment is close to centre of town but in a quiet area. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine & dishwasher. Thank you Carlos. We really enjoyed our stay and will return in the future.

Great 2 bed apartment with wrap round balcony
This is the 2nd time I have stopped in one of Carlos's apartments, rest assured he is a true gentleman. On arrival he is there to meet you and explain everything, irrelevant what time. His properties are excellent and more or less ready to live in. This 2 bed apartment with 2 full bathrooms was lovely. Right in the heart of Alvor definitely recommended.

Perfect position

What a fab Place
Carlos was the ultimate host ! The property was in an ideal location walking distance to anywhere, supermarket beach bars and the best restaurants-on offer . As a personal note the accommodation was exemplary and the host was one of the nicest People you could meet -truly a great experience!

Thoughtful host offered apartment in delightful town
The apartment was fully equipped, even down to the level of providing hot water bottles for a New Year stay. The situation was excellent, within walking distance of restaurants and a well-equipped supermarket. It was a great base for exploring the area, and we had a very happy time there

Very warm welcome in great apartment
Very warm welcome from Carlos who is a great host. The apartment is situated in a quiet part of Alvor but only a few minutes walk to the local restaurants and shop. The apartment was very clean - lovely balcony on two sides of the apartment. We were there in early November and it was warm enough to sit out. The outdoor pool looked tempting and very clean, shame it was a bit too cold in November. Thank you Carlos for the "welcome pack" - the local cakes were delicious. Carlos could not have been more helpful. We had our own space but he was only a phone call away had we needed anything. We would love to go back - thank you!

Very kind welcoming to apartment in Alvor's centre.
The apartment was as great as the host. Carlos was very kind and helpful man with a warm heart, he introduced us with the wide, bright and cozy apartment. There is everything, you need for some holidays .Plenty restaurants, few shops and beach were five minutes walk from the apartment. The beach was gorgeous and lovely. A great property in great location
We had a great time in the apartment and could not have asked for a better host. Carlos was extremely helpful and incredibly generous. The pastries, wine and snacks that met us on arrival were very much appreciated and the birthday fizz and cakes and card were a delightful surprise. Thank you Carlos! The accommodation is very well equipped and well placed; the shops and restaurants being only a minutes walk away. The local supermarket is less than 5 minutes walk and has everything you need. The beach took about 10 to 15 minutes to reach on foot although it's worth walking further to reach the rocks or the much quieter western end. The pool was clean and well maintained and was a nice alternative to the beach.All in all a fabulous holiday.

Lovely stay in a great location
The apartment was perfectly located close to restaurants, shops and bars, and was a pleasant walk to the beach. Carlos was a warm and welcoming host and couldn’t have done more for us. The apartment was nicely presented, well maintained and fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay (and more!) Alvor itself was wonderful - it was lively without being loud, still had a ‘village’ feel, plenty to do, close to water parks etc, beautiful beaches, and very welcoming for families with small children. We’ll definitely return!

Fabulous apartment
Fantastic apartment. Very clean and welcoming and very well equipped - it would have easily been possible to self cater entirely. The location is great as is close to the beach and restaurants. The pool was never too busy either. A big thank you to Carlos for his kindness and attention to detail. We have never had such a thorough introduction to a property before but he really took the time to settle us in. The gift of wine water and milk (along with pastries and fruit) was a lovely touch as were the mid-stay cakes which were devoured as were delicious. Would highly recommend this apartment.

We had a wonderful stay in Alvor. The apartment was just as in the pictures. It was very comfortable and well stocked.... everything we needed!! Carlos met us on arrival and is very welcoming and helpful.. a real gentleman. Location couldn't be better, near stores, restaurants, the harbor and a 15 min walk to a beautiful beach. Certainly a location to return to.

A Little gem nestled in the heart of Alvor
We have just returned from our first visit to Carlos's homely apartment . So many aspects make this an excellent property to rent for a holiday in Alvor. Firstly, the location is perfect with as it is within a few minutes walk both to restaurants and shops while the apartment is situated on the first floor within a modern private development with off road parking and a serviced swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Secondly, and just as important, Carlos the host was extremely welcoming with both his warm greeting and generous food pack. He was pleased to help us with any questions with nothing being too much trouble. Thirdly ,the property is of a high standard, tastefully decorated with a cosy and homely feel. The WiFi and TV system worked perfectly. The beds were very comfortable ,the bathrooms were clean and well appointed and the galley kitchen was very well equipped. All aspects of the apartment reflect Carlos's attention to detail . We would thoroughly recommend this as a great rental property and holiday location. Thank-you Carlos.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung an sehr schönem Ort!
Wir waren schon öfter in Alvor und mögen den Ort ganz besonders. Diese schöne Ferienwohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen und sehr praktisch, wohnlich und gut ausgestattet. Sehr freundlicher Empfang! Uns wurden sogar einige Lebensmittel bereitgestellt, da wir am Samstagabend angereist sind. Obwohl man in Portugal eigentlich immer etwas kaufen kann... Was man wissen sollte - die Wohnung liegt sehr nah am Zentrum, die Geräusche der Stadt gehören somit dazu, die Fenster reduzieren die Geräusche jedoch sehr gut. Den schönen Balkon konnten wir jedoch jetzt in der Nachsaison leider kaum nutzen, da im Haus gegenüber (Apartamentos turisticos de Alvor) in der Nachsaison intensive Bauarbeiten im Gang waren, auch am Feiertag Allerheiligen und am Samstag. Da der Strand aber nicht weit war und das Wetter schön, hat uns das nicht so viel ausgemacht. Alles in allem eine empfehlenswerte Wohnung und ein sehr netter Vermieter!

Quelle chance que nous avons eue de choisir ce condo garni de fleurs sur le beau et long balcon. Situé au cœur de la ville d’Alvor, tout près des restaurants, cafés, épiceries et à 10 minutes de marche de la plage où vous y trouverez une promenade de 5 kilomètres longeant la mer. Propriétaire extrêmement dévoué et attentif. Premièrement il nous a accueilli à l’autobus et deuxièmement il nous a acheté lait, fromage, biscuits, pâtisseries, vin et bières. Nous étions bien surprises. De plus, au cours de la deuxième semaine, M.Peirera est venu nous apporter un vin de la région du Douro accompagné de nouvelles pâtisseries et s’est offert de venir nous reconduire lors de notre départ. Si nous avons la chance de retourner au Portugal, nous retournerons sans aucun doute dans ce beau condo confortable et si accueillant. Francine et Paula
