Lovely villa with fab pool, garden and views

Amazing stay in the ideal villa
It was everything and more we could have wished for. Not only was the villa just perfect but so was the local town. We ate out a fair amount, we BBQ loads. Hopefully we will retunr shortly.

Great location, lovely villa
We spent two weeks at the villa and it was exactly as described/as the photographs. Only a 20 minute drive from Faro Airport, but the villa is in a very quiet location. Joao, the owner gave us plenty of recommendations for shopping, beaches and restaurants which was so useful. Would definitely like to return.

Perfection!
The property is so quiet and private, with beautiful views, the house designed to make the most of its situation. Shade during the day for the main room and seating area followed by the evening sun (and wonderful sunsets). A 20 minute walk takes you into Santa Barbara and the wonderful La Piazza for dinner - chicken that melts in the mouth and amazing Italian food - don't just take my word for it, check the reviews in Trip Adviser (song writer Ian Gillan's 'favourite restaurant in the world'!). Lovely walking home by the light of the moon and across the field with torches. Great places to visit all around - needed to stay for a month rather than a week! The owner, cleaner and gardeners make absolutely sure you don't have to lift a finger - house well stocked - all made for a beautifully relaxing holiday. Thank you, Joao, and we can't wait to be back!

Gorgeous property
We had a lovely week here. Pool & outdoor area was just ideal - plenty of sunny spots & shade too so great for us with the kids. Facilities within the villa were great too. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely holiday villa
We had a lovely family holiday in Casa Sofia, it was beautifully peaceful with lovely views - just what we wanted. The villa was very well equipped, the pool was just perfect and Joao the host was so helpful and very attentive. The location was great too, with some great local restaurants and close enough to visit Faro and beaches. It all made for a perfect holiday, and we would have no hesitation in returning.

Ideal quiet location
Super location away from noise or neighbours, ideal if you're after a spot of real Portugal, plenty of local restaurants, easy access to the coast, Faro and Loule - perfect in every way. Great for running too, if you like hills!

Delightful villa in gorgeous surroundings
We had a wonderful time at Villa Sofia. It is so peaceful with only the sound of crickets and a distant cockeral crowing to he heard. Wonderful views over the hills, lovely comfortable villa with shady terraces and a relaxing pool to leap into when it gets too hot. Great local bars and restaurants, coast only 20 mins away with beautiful sandy beaches. Joao could not do enough for us, he's a fantastic host. All in all an incredibly happy and relaxing week. 5 stars for every thing! BN

A lovely break in September
The villa was a lovely place to spend 10 days. It is beautifully equipped and well looked after. We had a lovely time by the pool and exploring the surrounding area. The owner is extremely helpful, easy to contact, and full of recommendations to enjoy the region. We will definitely be back.

Prachtig huis op een mooie rustige lokatie
We hebben hier met 5 volwassenen een hele fijne week gehad. Het huis is mooi gelegen op een rustige plek. Het was warm dus het zwembad kwam heel goed van pas. Het huis is mooi en schoon. De douche heeft een vrij hoge rand dus minder geschikt voor mensen die verminderd mobiel zijn. De eigenaar stuurde vooraf leuke tips voor tripjes en restaurants. Daar hebben we dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt. Toen een deur niet goed sloot heeft de eigenaar ervoor gezorgd dat het direct gemaakt werd. Kortom: een fijn en schoon huis met goede service!

Beautiful Villa
We stayed in Casa Sofia for a week from 18th August - a group of 6. The villa is beautiful with a very tasteful interior, stunning views of the surrounding countryside and a fabulous pool. João was very helpful with any queries we had, responding very quickly and making us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back one day!

We had a great stay at Villa Sofia .
This is a lovely property . We especially liked the pool with its grass & decking surrounds . It is in a quiet location with great views and Hoopoe birds would visit the garden every morning . However it doesn't take too long to drive to the surrounding areas e.g. Faro, Beaches etc

Schönes Haus in toller Lage
Das Haus hat einen sehr gepflegten Garten und einen tollen, sehr sauberen Pool. Von der Terrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick in die umliegende Hügellandschaft. Die Lage bietet viel Ruhe und Privatsphäre und trotzdem ist man schnell im nächsten Ort mit Supermarkt und Restaurants. Das Haus ist gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet, nur die Matratzen sollten vielleicht mal erneuert werden. Joao ist ein toller Gastgeber, der immer erreichbar ist und sich umgehend kümmert, wenn man ein Anliegen hat. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Heavenly vacation with a private pool 😁
If you are looking for a very private, quiet and relaxing place to stay Joao’s villa is the place to be. Absolutely beautiful view (you can see the sunsets from here), perfect pool experience, a bbq, everything as depicted online but even better in real. Joao was very welcoming and friendly, always answered very quickly, gave us tips and ideas where to go and what to do and was just the perfect host. Thank you, Joao, for this great stay!

Einfach wunderschön!!
Wir waren in den ersten beiden Juni Wochen zu Gast in dieser wundervollen Unterkunft. Wir waren vor Ort mit 5 Personen. Es war alles super gepflegt und alles vorhanden was man so für den Alltag in einem Ferienhaus benötigt:) João, der Vermieter, war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein sehr ruhiges und wundervolles Fleckchen Erde, wir können es von Herzen jedem empfehlen. Es war definitiv nicht unsere letzte Reise und wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste mal :)

Beautiful house with all facilities that you need. A lot of good restaurants in the neighborhood (within 15 minutes drive). There were a lot of mosquitos, but luckily there are a lot of sprays available in the supermarket that will protect you from them,

Dear guest, it's quite normal to have some mosquitos here in the countryside, specially in this season that has been abnormally hot! It's why there's mosquito nets on the windows... But surely you found good ways to enjoy the villa, the pool & surroundings, no complains about that!😁👌

Es war wunderschön !!!! Toll angelegte Finca im wunderschönen südländischen Style. Ein grosser toller Pool wo meine ganze Familie riesen spass hatte ob der kleinste oder der älteste der früh morgens seine Bahnen geschwommen ist. Vorallem das wirklich tolle die alleinige ruhe und das alleinige dasein, einfach mal nur für sich in diesen wunderschönen Umgebung. Der Vermieter war sehr sehr nett ,hat uns toll beraten auch für die Umgebung und immer erwähnt wen was sein sollte können wir uns immer melden. Dadurch das die neuen Gäste an unserem Abreisetag später kammen dürften wir das haus sogar länger nutzen wie geplant, vielen lieben Dank nochmal dafür! :)

Umas férias a serio
A casa é linda, extremamente bem decorada e acima de tudo corresponde exatamente às fotografias que estão na plataforma. O Sr. João Palma fez-nos uma visita e é extremamente atencioso com os seus hóspedes. Deu-nos um conjunto de informações importantes sobre restaurantes, supermercados, praias e outros sítios de interesse. A casa tem todo os equipamentos necessários para uma estadia de grande qualidade. A zona do jardim e da piscina, assim como o terraço com vista para a piscina são espaços fantásticos e a propriedade no geral permite gozar umas férias de grande qualidade e também com muita tranquilidade. A poucos minutos de carro de Faro, Almancil, e das praias da zona. Um sítio a voltar certamente é muito em breve. Fiquei cliente sem dúvida. ☺️

Wir hatten wundervolle Tage in der Casa Sofia. Das Haus und der Garten lassen keine Wünsche offen. João kümmerte sich sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit um uns. Er empfahl uns Ausflüge und Restaurants ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Gern kommen wir wieder.

Super fijn vakantiehuis op een top locatie
Als je van rust houd en toch ook je luxe wilt houden, is dit huis een fijne plek. De eigenaar is super behulpzaam en altijd te bereiken via whatsapp. Super vriendelijke man die alles met je wilt delen.

Beautiful holidays in a nice Cottage
First of all there is to say that we had a really great time here. The owner, João, is a really nice, friendly and supportive person. We did the booking over FeWo-Direkt, the confirmation came a short time later. The payment was separated in 3 positions, one for the handling fee to FeWo, one direct payment portion (50%) and the final payment on arrival (the other 50%). Payment was done via wire transfer, João always confirmed the reception immediately. Before starting the trip João sent us a really good way description how to get from the Faro airport to the Casa Sofia. Additionally he compiled a set of useful links and some generic travel information for us. We appreciated all this very much. We exchanged our mobile numbers, so that we can get in touch by WhatsApp. On the arrival day João sent us some useful information on WhatsApp regarding restaurants, supermarkets and so on. Upfront we gave João our flight details, and when we arrived at Casa Sofia he was already there. We got a really detailed introduction to the Casa including all rooms, technical equipment and other useful information. The Casa is really good equipped as described on the web site: It has e.g. a satellite TV, a DVD player, full equipped kitchen including oven, microwave, 2 coffee machines, dishwasher, laundry and large refrigerator. The casa has 3 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 2 with single beds. It contains also 2 bathrooms with toilet and shower and a bath tube. Best of all is the nice pool and its surrounding. The garden is in a good share, everything was green. The pool is good maintained, the water quality was good, its depth is between 1,1m and 1,4 m, so doing a header is not recommended, but for children it is good since they can stand on the ground for some pool ball games. The pool has also 6 sun lounger and 2 sunshades. On the veranda is a big table with a nice view over the valley. Nearby is a brick-built barbeque. WLAN is available, Video streaming is not possible due to quota limits, mails, WhatsApp and playing web radio were no problem. After some days our towels and bed covers got changed. The casa is a really peaceful and silent place with a lot of privacy. We loved staying here and we definitely consider coming back in the future. To sum up we have had a beautiful holiday in Portugal, especially at Casa Sofia. Thanks a lot to João!

La maison est confortable, conforme à la description et l'idée dont on se fait, avec les photos, de son environnement proche. Pas de mauvaise surprise même si les 50 derniers mètres pour y accéder sont un peu chaotique. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et profiter de la piscine. Joao est accueillant, arrangeant, disponible et fourni des bonnes adresses. Obrigado Joao.

Nous avons séjourné pendant ces vacances de Toussaint dans cette très agréable villa sur les hauteurs de Faro ( environ 15 min) et (5 min des autoroutes pour visiter la région) Voiture indispensable bien entendu. Villa calme en campagne au fond d’une impasse mais pas trop isolée. Confort convenable et déco agréable. Notre hôte Joao à été très acceuillant et nous à donné quelques informations utiles à notre arrivée . Je recommande sans problème!! Benoît.

Sehr schönes Haus, mit liebevollen Details. Ruhige Alleinlage. Wir haben hier eine tolle Woche verbracht. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und motiviert und gibt hilfreiche Tipps. Alles ist sauber, Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden in der Woche gewechselt und der Poolservice findet ebenfalls einmal die Woche statt. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

Excellent verzorgde woning, goed uitgerust en goed onderhouden
We hebben genoten van ons verblijf (2 stellen, waarvan 1 persoon slecht ter been) en voelden ons Gast (met een hoofdletter) door Gastheer Joao. Het huis is erg mooi en zeer goed onderhouden. Joao reageert erg snel op WhatsApp, lost probleempjes onmiddellijk op en geeft veel goede tips over de omgeving. Punten om rekening mee te houden: - de internetverbinding is niet snel. Je favoriete sportwedstrijd kijken op je iPad lukt niet, voor alledaagse communicatie voldoet het prima. - we hadden veel last van muggen. Dat had te maken met de combinatie van even regen en daarna weer erg warm. Geen nood: alle ramen van het huis zijn voorzien van uitstekende horren. De toegangsdeur heeft als enige geen hor. Resumerend: een aanrader! Mooi huis, mooi zwembad, mooie omgeving en een erg aardige gastheer Joao.

vacance très reposante
Nous avons passés 1 semaine très reposante et très tranquille dans cette villa qui a tout le confort et qui est conforme a la description qui est faite sur Abritel.Seuls petits inconvénients l'accès à la villa et les moustiques qui nous ont empechés de manger dehors les soirs.

Chers invités, je suis très heureux que vous ayez passé des vacances agréables et relaxantes! Je suis désolé pour les moustiques, je n'ai jamais eu ce problème avant, je pense que c'était à cause d'une pluie inhabituelle qui s'est produite hors de la saison, la semaine précédente. Et plus la chaleur extrême de cette semaine a créé les conditions idéales pour eux ... mais maintenant ils sont partis! Cordialement, Joao
