Nice Stay
We rented this apartment for one week during our month long Portugal vacation. The apartment was very clean, efficient and worked well for us. The owner was great to deal with and communication was top notch. This is a perfect location if you want to explore the southern coast of the country. Staying within the walls of the city made for a quaint experience that was enjoyable. The apartment is conveniently located to many restaurants and shops.

Jana and her husband stayed with us for a month on their first "adventure to Portugal". They were good guests and we would recommend them to other hosts. We admired their tenacity and commitment to independent travelling. We did feel that a resort managed apartment might suit them better for future trips rather than European self-catering apartments. We wish them many more enjoyable travel adventures.

Sardine House - Lagos
We rented this accommodation for two weeks on the back of excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. The apartment was spotless, well decorated and had all the facilities we needed - my wife loved the washing machine! It is ideally located, just a few minutes' walk into Lagos town, but far enough away so as not to be disturbed by the noise. It is also close to the beach and the marina. The facilities were as described, and the apartment has everything you could possibly need. The two bedrooms are spacious, with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom and shower are wonderful. The only small point I (well my wife) would make us that there isn't a full length mirror. The WiFi speed is lightning fast, and made me green with envy! The TV/IPTV package looked really good, but we didn't use it, as we both had tablets. There is a balcony overlooking the street, and it was lovely to sit out having breakfast, and watching the world go by. There is also a rooftop terrace, which although small, gives you amazing views. We didn't use it, as we are beach people. The property manager was very helpful, and responded quickly when I contacted him about replacing the gas cylinder. Overall, Sardine House is a great place to stay, and I would thoroughly recommend it. If we come back to Lagos again, we will definitely check the availability for it.

Minutes from the best bars and restaurants in town
This is a very well located, spotlessly clean apartment. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is located on very narrow cobbled streets in the old town part of Lagos. It can be quite noisy at night with cars and people walking past but having air conditioning in both bedroom means you don’t have to open windows to be able to cool down and sleep. The apartment directly below is in the early stages of being renovated during the day and it can be noisy but this doesn’t start early or finish late and is only during the week. There is so much to do in this charming place that we were in and out most of the week. The roof terrace gives a fantastic view of the sea and Marina and gives you a chance to appreciate where you are and what a fantastic place this is. The town centre has a great feeling of being family friendly and the marina offers a multitude of great boat trips with anything from Dolphin watching to day trips to Alvor. There is a small market with numerous stalls selling a wide variety of mainly clothing which has great variety. Restaurant wise there is everything you could possibly need from Italian in the main square, Dynasty for a Chinese meal with a sea view or many family restaurant selling fantastic fish dishes. There are many street musicians earning a living as you shop or dine so there is music always on tap. My wife and I loved it and couldn’t recommend it highly enough....

Great apartment, excellent location
The apartment was lovely, in a perfect location. It was very clean and had everything needed for a perfect stay, including dishwasher and washing machine. The shower was great and the bed was comfy. It has a small roof terrace, with two sun loungers, there is no shade up there and it did get very hot in the afternoon sun, but was perfect from about 4.30pm onwards, and there are lovely beaches within easy walking distance. There are bars, restaurants, mini markets and bakeries, less than a couple of minutes walk from the apartment. During our stay there was heavy building work going on in the apartment next to us, so the weekdays it was very noisy (this is not a complaint as we appreciate this is totally out of the owners control), but over the weekend the area was very quiet and although there were bars very close by you couldn’t hear any noise from them. The booking process was quick and easy and correspondence with the owner was clear and concise. The meet and greet at the apartment was seamless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again if we were staying in Lagos.

Lovely lively Lagos
Hidden in the old city this condo was difficult to find, but worth the effort! We enjoyed the great location. Can get a bit noisy at night, but just for short periods of time. Had coffee on the little terrace and watched the cars try to navigate the tiny street. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy all Lagos has to offer. Great waterfront, restaurants, boat tours to the caves. Visit Luz and Sagres. We enjoyed!

Wonderful Apartment
We just finished a three month stay in Celia‘s apartment. We loved the apartment and all its amenities. Celia is very responsive and easy to work with. The location is unbeatable. We travel by bicycle so we were able to bike or walk everywhere we needed to go. The train station is just a short walk away giving you access to other towns along the Algarve. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was super. It was very nice to have a washing machine and dishwasher. We were not able to take advantage of the small outdoor patio due to cool weather in December and January and then the apartment was getting painted so they tarped over all of our windows and outdoor space. Otherwise, it would be a lovely spot for morning coffee. It is a very quiet neighborhood. We moved from the double bedroom to the twin bedroom due to the motion detector light outside the double room window. A good solid black out curtain could solve that though. There is plenty of storage and we were able to keep our bicycles secure in an outdoor spot attached to the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely visit again if we return to Portugal. Thanks for a great stay, Celia.

Large, confortable appartment in great location!
The apartment was very roomy, clean and within walking distance of many great restaurants and landmarks. We had everything we needed for our stay, a nicely equipped kitchen, a washing machine and free parking close by. The bed was comfortable. The only thing that was a bit bothersome was the security light outside the master bedroom window that kept turning on when people or cars went by, which illuminated the whole bedroom. A better, room darkening blind would be a nice addition!

Beautiful well equipped apartment in an ideal location
We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. It is very well furnished with beautifully stylish furniture. The walk in shower is lovely. The location is perfect. It’s right on the heart of the Old Town with numerous restaurants literally round the corner. Because it’s so central there can be some noise at night but nothing that bothered us too much. The river is five minutes walk and the marina and beaches ten minutes walk away. We had a great time and highly recommend this lovely apartment.

Best combination of modern & historic!
We enjoyed our stay in this modern, well equipped apartment in this beautiful historic fishing village. We loved the sweet terrace overlooking the village streets. Lovely, modern apartment in the heart of historic Lagos!
What a beautiful apartment! We stayed four nights in Celia and David's modern and well-appointed apartment while visiting the Algarve region. It served as a perfect home base while my husband and I explored Lagos and various towns on the southwest coast of Portugal. The location in Lagos can't be beat with regards to easy access to restaurants, shops, and the waterfront. While many of the commercial streets may feel a bit touristy, walking back to the apartment on mainly residential streets helped our experience feel as if we were part of the local fabric of the city, if only for a short time. The bakery, Padaria Central, just a short walk down the street was one of the highlights for us. The staff spoke many languages, including English, and were incredibly kind and patient to all of the patrons answering questions about their large selection of delicious pastries and breads. We ate fresh fish for most of our meals and thoroughly enjoyed our food and wine—and/or sangria—at Restaurante Bar Inna and Cantinho Algarvio in Lagos, Chirinquito Resto Bar in Sagres, and Sha Bouco just south of Aljezur near Vale Figueiras Beach. We also walked the cliff trails above the beaches near Lagos (Dona Ana and Pinhão) which was only a 15–20 minute walk from the apartment, and if the weather had been warmer, the apartment contains various items for the beach that we would have enjoyed. We only experienced one snag on the front end with regards to a delayed meeting with the property manager, but other than that, the apartment was exactly as expected based upon the photos, description, and reviews on VRBO. Thank you Celia and David for providing your wonderfully-designed and renovated apartment to all of us travelers!

A clean bright and spacious nicely decorated apartment right in the centre of town .
Location is the key with this property, you are just a few steps from the centre of Lagos with it’s many shops and fantastic eateries. Hidden away in a residential district living amongst the locals so not the quietest place to be but you have to balance this against all the other advantages this apartment has such as the three outdoor terraces especially from the roof where you can see the old town and beach.

Great flat , great location.
Lovely, immaculate flat in a very central location in Lagos. Beds extremely comfortable, plenty of storage. Lovely hot shower. We would definately use again. A wonderful comfortable stay!
We stayed in this lovely apartment for three weeks in November. It is very nicely decorated and well equipped, just a stone's throw from everything in Lagos. When we had an occasional problem with the internet, Celia arranged with an engineer to come and sort out the problem straight away. The little balcony is lovely for a cup of coffe in the mornng and the roof terrace we used a couple of times for relaxing in the sun. The beds are very comfortable and the bedlinen are of excellent quality. We loved everything about this apartment and if we come back to Lagos in the future, we will book here again. Our stay in lagos
The directions to the apt were perfect and free parking close by. The apt was fresh, clean and minalistic but well furnished with everything we needed. The apt was well situated and we walked to dinner each night. Lagos is a little too touristy for us the the little cove beaches up and down the coast are stunning I would recommend the apt if Lagos is your destination, many thanks for a great stay.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August with our 14,year old daughters and had the most amazing trip. The apartment is beautiful. Home from home. A perfect location as we were close to everything. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Somebody came in at least twice a week to change towels and the bedding was changed once a week. The restaurants in Lagos are fantastic and the food was excellent. A really good hypermsrket only 15 minutes walk should you want to self cater. The bakery that's 2 minutes down the road was fantastic the best bread cakes and pastries and so cheap. I would definitely return especially now I know all the best places to go. The Green room (Mexican) and the Gardens are definitely worth a visit. The town is beautiful to wander around with all the little shops to pop into. The people of Lagos are so friendly.

A beautifully decorated apartment in an excellent location
This apartment certainly lives up to its hype. It has been tastefully decorated with absolutely everything needed for a great holiday. The attention to detail is second to none, from the white leather sofa with soft white blankets to the great wardrobe space in the bedrooms and the excellent shower in the bathroom.. The location is great being only a five minute walk from the centre of Lagos yet in a quaint side street where you can sit on the small balcony and watch the world go by. There is an excellent Italian restaurant almost opposite the apartment. It is advisable to book as it is very popular. We really enjoyed our stay at La Sardine and would recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful area
My husband and I recently stayed in this apartment and overall were satisfied. The apartment is in a convenient location for access to beaches, restaurants, and shops. There are quite a few markets around to stock up on supplies. It's also a fairly easy walk from the bus station. That being said, it's on a corner of 2 somewhat busy streets and because the master bedroom sits right on top of both of the streets it can be a bit loud. While the apartment is beautifully decorated the furniture is not very practical or comfortable especially for a rental unit. For example when you arrive there's a note on the white leather sofa saying you must use the blanket while sitting so as not to get it dirty. This is understandable since it's white but like I said, not practical for a rental unit. Basically all of the furniture is white which looks lovely but it's just not plush and comfy. Luckily, the bed is very comfortable! We also agree with a previous renter about the bathroom. It's beautiful and very well updated but the showerhead has no place to hang it and there's no shelf in the shower to put your soap or toiletries. It makes for an adventure that's for sure! The rooftop deck has a wonderful view and it was nice to sit on the lounge chairs and relax. The patio off the kitchen is a nice place to sit in the morning for coffee. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes, utensils, and cookware you need. The washer works great, it practically has your clothes dry when you take them out! The Italian restaurant that's in the building next door was delicious and so convenient. Also, the bakery/cafe around the corner was wonderful and they will make your coffee to go so you can bring it back to the apartment. Lagos is a beautiful place with a lot of things to explore. If you decide to take a boat tour of the caves I would recommend using one of the local guides. They use smaller boats that have much better access to some of the caves. Plus, because they're local they know a lot about the area and our guide was quite funny! I don't think you would be disappointed if you stayed in this apartment it has a lot of positives with a few negatives. Enjoy!

Superb accommodation in an ideal location
We had a fantastic holiday! This apartment is furnished to a very high standard, It was immaculate throughout. The beds were the comfiest I have ever slept in and the cotton bed linen so soft and luxurious. We used the outside terrace every evening and lit the beautiful lanterns that were provided. In the mornings we purchased our coffee from the lovely little coffee shop on the corner and sat on the apartment front balcony and watched Lagos come alive. Nothing has been forgotten in this beautiful apartment, Celia has furnished it with impeccable taste. I can recommend the Italian restaurant on the corner as a wonderful place to eat and the food in Baffi Bar is fab if you fancy a light lunch. This was our 4th time in Lagos but certainly the best place we have stayed. We only hope we will be able to book this property again for our next trip as it is by far the best place we have lived. I can't thank you enough Celia for making my birthday a very special one indeed. Your beautiful apartment is a little piece of heaven ideally located within the heart of Lagos. You made turning 50 a little easier. Best wishes from the Sharpe family. x

Four of us stayed in this centrally located property, a couple and two girls on a break from Uni. It suited us all very well.

Tolle Wohnung, sehr zentral. Sehr gute Betten und trotz der zentralen Lage sehr ruhig. Die Dachterrasse ist allerdings 3 Stockwerke höher, leider. Ansonsten alles super.

Wir haben Ihren Kommentar zur Kenntnis genommen und werden der Objektbeschreibung mehr Details hinzufügen, dass die vordere und hintere Terrasse direkt vom Grundstück stammen, der Dachterrassenbereich jedoch zwei Stockwerke höher liegt. Das ist ein guter Punkt, danke.

Sehr schönes Appartment welches sehr gut gereinigt war, jedoch ist uns schon bei Ankunft ein unguter Geruch aufgefallen, welcher zwar nicht immer present war jedoch auch nicht verflog. Wo er genau herkam (Bad, Balkon, Küche) konnten wir nicht identifizieren.

Boa localização, alojamento muito limpo, bons quartos e casa de banho, apenas achámos as mesas um pouco pequenas para quatro pessoas. Definitivamente um bom alojamento.

Obrigado por sua avaliação. Ficamos felizes em saber que você gostou da sua estadia. Notamos que você sentiu que o apartamento era um pouco pequeno para quatro pessoas. O apartamento é ideal para 2 adultos, ou 2 adultos e 2 adolescentes, ou uma unidade familiar. Os quartos são amplos. Existem dois sofás e a sala é grande para um apartamento histórico. Existem duas mesas de jantar para quatro pessoas, são adequadas para quatro. Existe apenas um banheiro. Esperamos que não tenha estragado a sua estadia e que tenha gostado das vantagens de estar no centro histórico.

Alles was heel goed. Het huis was heel schoon. Wij hadden alles wat we nodig hadden. Bedden zijn heerlijk en de kamers zijn groot. Er is genoeg ruimte om je spullen op te ruimen en de keuken is ook groot en fijn. De woonkamer heeft een klein balkon waar we lekker in de zon een kopie koffie konden drinken. Er is een lekkere bakker vlakbij. Je loopt zo de stad in, en dat is ook de reden dat je ook soms mensen hoort teruglopen van de stad 's nachts. Maar heel veel last daarvan hebben we niet gehad.

Super Aufenthalt mitten in Lagos
Die Wohnung war klasse, liebevoll eingerichtet und alles war vorhanden, was man/frau benötigt. Schön war das wir das Zentrum so nah hatten (250 m), auch das Wetter war klasse. Der Urlaub war einfach nur schön.

Eine wunderschöne Wohnung in Lagos
Wir waren im Juli 2019 in Celias Appartment in Lagos. Dieses ist wirklich ideal gelegen, nur zwei Straßen von den Geschäften der Innenstadt entfernt und dennoch ruhig. Die Ausstattung ist sehr hochwertig, drei Klimaanlagen, hochwertige Einbauschränke und Möbel und schöne Fliesen auf dem Boden ergeben einen sehr guten Eindruck. Es gibt auch einen kompletten Elektroherd, eine Spülmaschine und eine Waschmaschine, es fehlt also an nichts. Der Fernseher hat portugiesische, spanische und englische Programme, darunter alle Fox-Programme aus den USA mit portugiesischen Untertiteln. Deutsche Programme gibt es leider nicht. Es gibt auch noch einen DVD-Player. Es gibt einen kleinen Innenhof zum draußen sitzen, der leider etwas unter den vielen Möwen und ihren Hinterlassenschaften leidet, aber das ist am Meer nicht anders zu erwarten. Ein Problem ist lediglich, dass man die Wohnung mit dem Auto nicht gut erreichen kann. Es gibt zwar eine Straße, aber keine Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus, sodass man beim Ausladen die Straße blockiert. Der nächste Parkplatz ist etwa 600 m entfernt. Wer also viel Gepäck hat, das er nicht gut über Kopfsteinplaster ziehen kann, für den ist diese Wohnung nicht so gut geeignet. Man benötigt aber auch kein Auto, die Innenstadt, die Strände Praia da Battata und Praia des Estudiantes, der Hafen und der Bahnhof sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Insgesamt eine schöne Erfahrung für uns (Familie mit einem Kind), wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderschöne Wohnung
Eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft mit Dachterrasse, weiterer Sitzecke im Freien, super Küche, bequemem Bett, Klimaanlagen und allem was man braucht. Die Lage ist perfekt: Mitten in Lagos aber trotzdem ruhig! Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und kommen gerne wieder!!

Mooi licht appartement. Klein balkonnetje prima voor zijn tweeën maar als je met vier personen bent wordt het wel wat krap.

Bedankt voor uw beoordeling, we zijn blij dat u van uw verblijf hebt genoten. Het balkon aan de voorzijde is alleen geschikt voor twee, maar er is een terras naast de keuken dat gemakkelijk past op vier. We hebben ook een dakterras te bereiken via de gemeenschappelijke trap.

Trevligt läge!
Fräsch rymlig lägenhet inom murarna. Mysigt område, med livlig trafik, precis intill husknuten. Nära till allt! Vi saknade en traditonell kaffebryggare, annars var allt toppenbra!
