Set in a wonderful location but.....
This villa is located on a cliff top with magnificent views. The pool area is superb and well furnished. The roof terrace again providing great views was unusable because of the lack of cushions for the seating area. The ones which were provided are dirty and stained. At one time the villa would have earned the description of 'Luxurious'. Sadly this is now not the case. Everything is a little tired and used. Linen is old and past its used by date, with towels which are stained and threadbare. There are damp issues; water ingress from the roof terrace into the sitting room ceiling, black mould and damp to the front twin bedroom, small bathroom and kitchen skylight. The owner was made aware of the condition and a request made for a dehumidifier, which was provided. This helped but has not cured the problem. In our opinion the villa is in need of a refurbishment if it is to retain its luxurious description. The views alone are simply not enough. Ours was an extended stay of 37 nights, which makes attention to detail important in providing the 'Luxurious, cosy' environment advertised.

I am sorry that you experienced it this way. You experienced the worst/wettest winter in ages. We did major refurbishments and repairs the last 3 winters and the rooftop terrace was tested watertight. It seems that you have found out it wasn’t so I have to talk to the contractor again. That wet winter also explains the mold that we never have seen before so we will look into that next winter. The rooftop furniture is not even one year old and in winter the provided cushions seats 4. They are in a box for you to take out. In the manual that we provide it states that you can ask for the rest at the local management but will have to arrange it when the weather gets worse. Stains are unavoidable, even after one season but the last I checked was in December and we cleaned them. Same goes for towels and linen, housekeeping is on that and has not notified me of the condition. If it really is that bad I surely would have been notified. We’ll inspect all now and replace if needed as we think that good towels are a necessity. Once again: sorry that you had not the experience you should have and we’ll do what is needed to have it as advertised although I don’t know yet what that is.

Villa is as advertised, amazing location out the back gate to the cliff side. Villa is fully equipped, all the essentials and more. Owner was quick to respond when asked. We used it as a base to explore the Algarve, found it to be a great location.

Amazing place
This place is amazing! There is so much to love from the pool, the view and the roof terrace. It was absolutely perfect for us, the air con in the bedrooms kept us cool at night and the lounge and kitchen were great. The Italian restaurant nearby is amazing and you're walking distance to the beach though with views like that we barely left the villa. There's a small supermarket nearby which was great for fresh bread and milk (and wine) and a bigger one a short distance away. My wife said its one of the few places that she would come back to.

Idyllic
Beautiful, well equipped villa in a gorgeous location. Excellent support and information before our stay. Made use of the owners recommendations for taxis, restaurants and supermarkets. The villa was exceptionally clean on arrival and the bed in the master bedroom really comfy. The villa had everything we needed for our stay but the wi fi was a bit patchy but useable. Everything was as expected and perfect, the only criticism was the pathway at the bottom of the garden. on cooler days it was extremely busy and some of the walkers invaded our privacy by climbing on the boundary and staring in at us but we positioned the sun loungers to maintain privacy while around the pool so not a major problem and not a criticism of the owners/management. Would definitely recommend the whole experience.

Thank you for your kind words. We'll look into the wifi, it is fiber so shouldn't be like that. As for privacy: we had to choose between closing up the garden to have more privacy so losing the seaview from terrace and pool or leaving it open. As the roof terrace offers good privacy we left the garden open and stay on top when we don't want people staring.

We had an excellent family vacation at Maria and Herman's home in Southern Portugal. The view is exceptional and the location is very quiet which is what we wanted. Maria was very easy to work with. Excellent Property, Perfect Holiday
We stayed early November and couldn’t have asked for a better property. It had everything we needed and more. The pool was fabulous for the children (5yrs & 2yrs, we had it heated which was worth it) and the view was amazing. The location is great and has restaurants and shops within walking distance as well as wonderful beaches close by. The villa was well proportioned with plenty of space outside and extremely well kitted out. Great washer, dryer, fridge and coffee machine. The kitchen was a little small depending and what you’re used to but more than adequate. Huge amount of cooking equipment. Herman’s contact and instructions were perfect. We hope to book the villa again.

Most beautiful place in Portugal Algarve!
For the 10th time we were Lucky to stay at this beautiful place, nowhere in the Algarve is the view this pretty! From the rooftopterrace the ocean view is spectaculair! We spent most of our time here enjoying the oceanview even from the just renewed private swimmngpool. You'll feel like you're the King of the world while staying here. But please do not book the first half of October, because that's when we'll be staying here for the 11th time ;)

Fantastisch
Super week gehad op echt een A+++++ locatie. Heel mooi huis boven op klif en aan de hiking route langs de 7 hangende valleien en de grottenroute van de Algarve. Verhuurder Herman is goed bereikbaar en reageert altijd snel en correct. Wij gaan zeker weer!

Super Unterkunft mit traumhafter Lage
Die Unterkunft und die Lage ist einfach einmalig, hätten uns allerdings etwas mehr Handtücher gewünscht. Ansonsten war alles super.

Herzlichem Dank für ihre Bewertung. Normalerweise bekommt jeden Gast 1 kleine, 1 große und ein Strandtuch. Ich nehme an dass sie den gehabt haben. Wenn sie mehr Handtücher möchten hätten sie anrufen können. Oder selber waschen und trocknen. Wir haben immer die Idee das alles mehr als komplett sein muss also verstehe ich es nicht gut wenn sie mehr Handtücher möchten. Das sie trotzdem ein gute Zeit hatten ist dann gut, anscheinend war es also kein großes Problem.

Wir waren 10 Tage in der Casa Miramare. Vielen dank an den Eigentümer für diese super Zeit. Ausstattung Haus: alles was man braucht und das gesamte Haus in einem sauberen Zustand. Eigener Pool: Mega. Regelmässife Reinigung. Lage: direkt an den Klippen, super Aussicht auch von der Dachterrasse.

fantastische ligging met 270 graden zeezicht vanaf het dakterras. Lekker zwembad met verwarmd water en luxe en zeer compleet ingericht. Vooral die complete keuken is de moeite waard. Buitenterrassen mooi en modern. Je kunt zien dat er aandacht aan wordt besteed. Prettige communicatie met de eigenaar. Komen we zeker terug.

Great experience
We are a family of four and spent two weeks in Herman’s house : everything was perfect. The house is located in an incredible sea front line with a gorgeous view to gardens and sea, the house was also very clean and perfectly well equipped , the services company taking care of the house was also very efficient. In a nutshell, we absolutely recommend this house rental. Enjoy !!

Das Haus liegt wirklich fantastisch und ist wie in der Beschreibung, reichlich ausgestattet. Die Sicht auf das Meer ist super schön. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war reibungslos und nett.

Ein kleines Paradies
14 Jahre Carvoeiro. In Casa Miramar jetzt auch schon Wiederholungstäter. Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft schön, besser geht es nicht mit direktem Zugang zum Meer; in ein paar Minuten ist man zu Fuss am Strand. Sehr ruhige Lage in ruhiger exclusiver Anlage. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Der Terrassen und Poolbereich und die Dachterrasse wurden aufwendig renoviert. Wir finden es total gelungen, modern aber nicht zu stylisch. Bewahrt den ursprünglichen Charme und Charakter des Hauses. Check in ist super einfach mit Schlüsselkasten am Haus, Wohnung wurde während des Aufenthaltes mehrfach gründlich gereinigt. Am ersten Tag kam jemand von der Agentur um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir können insgesamt nur positives sagen und kommen gerne jederzeit wieder. :-)

Lieu idyllique
Nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances reposantes dans cette maison. La vue et la piscine privative sont les points forts de la maison. Maison entretenue et très propre avec beaucoup de confort. Nous n’avons manqué de rien.

Großartige Lage
Die Casa Miramar ist ein sehr schönes, geschmackvoll ausgestattes Ferienhaus in Bestlage. Die 3 Schlafzimmer ermöglichen einen Aufenthalt zu sechst, ohne dass jemand im Wohnzimmer auf einer Couch etc. schlafen muss. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet. Das beste ist aber die Lage: Blick über die Klippen auf dass Meer und gleichzeitig eine wunderschöne Bucht, die in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Wir haben auch den Tennisplatz im Clube Atalantico (gratis) mehrmals benutzt.
